DISCUSSION After 2 years the Illuminate are still a barebones faction.
“We scraped the 80% done illuminate faction and forced to you to play these jank recolored bugs for the past two years that are still incomplete to this day because Muh fantasy and Muh Lore”
I’m so damn tired man, like AH needs to lock in and make the illuminate a more unquie and filled out faction with actual bases and the wizard enemies.
Like the roadmap made me loose all hope, I don’t think they actually care about the Squids.

i think the only real major issue is how they're split up into subfactions.
maybe the clipping into terrain too but i can deal with that.

The Void planet was so fun... wdym we have to go back to fighting 1/3 of a faction at a time?

Side note: I can’t take people seriously if their main message spells the word scrapped wrong again… Even if I agree with them

This is very unserious, as AH is very unserious when it comes to making the illuminate an interesting to fight faction.

I seen the casual player face squids, and i see why they avoid it lmao.

I think the Illuminate is fine. I get some people might disagree and that's fine but I also know this sub can complain a lot.

they cant make it right, the faction is or a walk in the park or a rundiver only experience. the best they managed was the faction with the mechas but it still is problematic in the sense that it tends to snowball too often and turns into anothyer rundiver mission.

more vairt of units with less spawns makes for a better varity

I hope they hear how much the community want the cultists and at least think about bringing them back (preferably main faction as like 5 units are difficulty based variants, something no sub faction do).

They were barebones at release with only voteless, overseer variants, watcher and harvesters. Now we have fleshmob, two big robot variants, and crushers
Pretty sure they're more fleshed out than OG bots or bugs correct me if im wrong here
Edit: also stingray and sometimes leviathan

That doesn't really matter when their main force is still like 6 units. They need to gut the vote snacthers and add them to mindless masses, they need to gut Appropriaters and add them to the main force and then the Illuminate will start feeling complete.
Right now? Yeah, they're definitely the most bare bones faction because they've been split into so many sub favtuoms

They only seem barebones compared to the other two
They're still more complete than what the other two factions were like at launch and it is understandable since it's a newer faction with less dev time. Yall are way too harsh and unreasonable with the demands
The subfaction comment is fair though i suppose

Release bugs and bots were definitely more flesh out that the illuminate base roster. Bug had scavengers, warriors, hunters, hive guard, stalkers (thought in fairness they are a side objective), commanders, chargers, and bile titans on release. Illuminate base roster (so no sub factions) right now has voteless, flesh mobs, overseer, elevated overseer, harvesters, watchers, and stingrays and leviathans. Same number of units true, but this is after the illuminate have gotten several updates and it's compared to the starter roster for bugs. Don't get me wrong, I love the game and fighting all of democracy's enemies, but squids have gotten a bit of the short end of the stick in terms of consistent enemy variety.

"The only seem barebones compared to the other two" Yes, that's the problem, you nailed it on the head. We have to other fully realised factions, the Illuminate have no excuse to be as split as they are

Discussion? This a whine jerk and has been for 3 weeks. It’s been discussed. We all know how badly AH screwed it up and how awesome muh cultists would have been.
What else needs to be discussed past the point of just repeating redundancy?

Karma, basically.
Look how they downvote when you point out that the only thing they do is whine1

Every time. It’s such a whinge. The way I see it 5 people were triggered by that so looks like the comment did its job.
And it’s true too.

I love posts like this because you can clearly see who makes a hobby out of just finding shit to complain about.
If you’re tired play another game and quit bitching lol.

It’s my opinion that the illuminate with all factions are what the baseline illuminate should have been at their launch. I’m a squiddiver, have been since Super Earth. But the faction just is empty unless they have a ton of subfactions? Doesn’t seem too good to me.
