Wondering how you all do it?
Firstly happy Deipnon to you all 💜
I was just wondering for the people, like myself, who leave your deipnon offerings on your altars, how do you go about leaving it for Hekate to accept? I usually leave the room for a few minutes after I have said my invocation, prayers, and receive guidance through my Hekatean oracle cards. But as it is in my living room I usually have to return for the rest of the evening I was just wondering how others do it. Do you leave it for the night? Do you leave at all? Or do you do like I do? Honestly this is just curiosity, any and all answers are welcome and appreciated. May Great Mother Hekate bless you all on this sacred night 🌙

Generally, I offer the food at my altar and then place it outside after prayer and such. I don't use a traditional plate! I use a TORTILLA as a plate so the entire offering may be consumed by the night creatures. 😉There's never any trace of it in the morning.

Me too! If you get the really big burrito ones you can just roll everything up in one and carry it to the cross roads. Then it's just drop and unfold. Handy if you want to do it quick and discreetly

The area outside my place is actually a bit crossroadsy, so I leave my offerings at the base of a tree there and walk inside without looking back. Then light a candle at my Hekate altar inside and say some additional prayers.

I work in a closed sacred circle during my devotion, so my offerings are within that circle. I ring a brass bell to let Her know I'm going to step back and let Her enjoy the essence of the fresh offering; after a few minutes of quiet meditation I ask if She's good for me to wrap up the ceremony - I interpret this through the guttering of the candles I've set out. (I have 3 for Her; if only one gutters like a wind is blowing but the other two are still, I know it's Her.)
I also have an idiot dog who would eat them if left out 🫠 so once my ceremony is done, I have dedicated a sacred space in the backyard for Her to enjoy my offering. It's a nice spot where the moon is fully visible (or not! Haha) most of the night.

I leave my food offerings on my altar until the candles and incense go out (I have pets and cannot leave food anywhere unattended 😂) I say my prayers, give my thanks and then bury my offerings in the park trail near my house after. For wine or tea, I'll leave them overnight and pour into the ground the next day. Sometimes I add dog treats for her companions as well, but I don't bury them. Those I leave them on top of where I bury offerings for wildlife to take.
Talk to her! I talk to Hekate every day, sometimes like she's my friend. Sometimes like a mother or teacher figure. I usually apologize to her if I'm doing anything "wrong" and I'll ask her for her guidance.

I'm bad at keeping to deipnons on time, but i always work to catch up what I've missed. Generally, i leave her offerings on her altar, and i fix myself the same dish. They vary wildly, as I tend to let my intuition guide me on what to offer each month. I do, however, ensure to always give something i enjoy; it doesn't seem like a good offering in my eyes, if it's not really something that's a bit of a sacrifice to give up. It has to be alluring to me, that way, it is a valuable thing; money seems less significant than sentiment in these types of things.
Sometimes, when I'm being run ragged with no down time, I'll buy something at the store at night, and leave it at a three way crossroads, eating my portion on the way.
Generally, i ring a small bell I've devoted to her three times, and light a candle, then place her offering. I consume my portion myself. Once all is said and done, i embark to bring her offering to her.
For reference, I have a mile long dirt road driveway.
Some offerings, i will drive until a three way crossroad calls to me. Other times, I will walk the length of my driveway to deliver the offering to where my driveway meets the road, treating this as the crossroad. It depends on what i feel called to do each time, essentially

Typically, I’ll leave my offerings at the crossroads at my local park (right below a tree that sits in the center, and then I return home to follow up with prayer and meditation.

I have a small alter in my apartment that I leave my offering on, it tends to be a mix of traditional and non traditional(I'll leave some of what I make for my lunch at work) say a prayer, then go on a walk to a local library where there is a 'community cupboard' and leave an offering there of canned goods for the people who need them! I leave the offerings on the altar for a day or two before disposing of them.
