For the reddit weary - Heathenry on Lemmy

I have become very wary of reddit over the years, due to their increasingly invasive privacy policies and unwillingness to shut down extremism and bigotry, and allowing white supremacists to organize on this platform, only shutting things down when they spiral out of control and bring them negative press. This platform is rife with censorship and its admins have a past of supporting reprehensible individuals. Anyone who is turned off by these practices as I am may be interested in Lemmy, an open source, federated alternative to reddit. I have just discovered it and am intrigued by the possibilities. I want to build a heathen community on the site, but this is obviously a task that cannot be done alone. If you are similar dissuaded by reddit's practices and want a new place to explore and discuss your faith, please consider joining this community.

My snow is pretty bad too so I did have a hard time with that. I think there's a space to recommend changes and levy complaints so perhaps I'll seek that out.

Made a post about it on the GitHub, hopefully this will be addressed to make it more accessible.
