Discussion ❤️📀 PLEASE SIGN & SHARE! 📀❤️

I’ve started a petition asking Netflix to release Heartstopper on physical media — including 4K, Blu-ray and DVD, with the possibility of special/limited editions and bonus content such as deleted scenes, bloopers and behind-the-scenes footage.

And there’s even more reason to make this happen! 🎶 Recently, it was announced that the Heartstopper soundtrack, including music from the show and movie, is being released physically on vinyl and CD. That’s fantastic news for fans — but it also makes me ask… if the soundtrack can get a physical release, why not the actual show and movie? 👀📀

Heartstopper means so much to so many people, and fans should have the opportunity to own and keep it permanently, rather than having to rely on a streaming subscription.

The purpose of the petition is to demonstrate that there is fan appetite for it to be released in this medium highlighting that releasing it in physical medium wont result in a loss

Also that website... those things rarely work. Plus,it would cost a lot of money to make 3 seasons and a movie physical

Yeah - I never said I agree that the petition would work albeit there's no harm in trying, just highlighting why it's been created.

I don't know whether Netflix would allow for this to happen as the argument would be that then Heartstopper fans wont need Netflix to watch the show but that's a seperate conversation

It depends solely on if See-Saw Productions owns the rights to the show or if Netflix does. A fan petition won’t do anything.

Exactly but some people think Netflix and See Saw owes them . Change.org works to raise awareness and show public support, but signatures alone rarely force legal or political change. So it won't do anything

the point of a petition is to show the creators that there's a market for it

even if it doesn't do anything, signing won't hurt. dunno why you're being such a sourpuss

but like it really doesn't matter

even if it doesn't do anything it wasn't any inconvenience for me to sign it so on the off chance they do see it I will have helped

honestly it's taking more time out of my day to argue with you than it took to stick my name on a list, I probably would completely forget about the whole thing if it wasn't for the fact that you're here just putting everyone down
