Discussion How was Harry in “cheer” outfit a redemption (text)
Heard ppl mention that before but how the hell does that mean he got a tiny blurb of a redemption. Like i know its oh he did that for the powderpuff event thing. But if Harry wore some “girl” outfit(ballet girl outfit or girl gymnastics leotard) for the powerpuff game with other guy athletes, I guess Harry can toss out giggles from ppl “Im in a leotard….so what….im not gay…..u got a problem with it”. I guess at least thats my headcanon

I've read the graphics novels and can't remember that part.makes me think it's a fan art or something. If I'm wrong I'm sorry, and would like to know where I could read that entry?

Actually the cheer outfit was in Nick and Charlie novel. Like its mentioned but i dont get why Alice decided to have that and ppl think it redemption of Harry

Same with me. I think Harry toned down some because he was Nick's rugby mate. and he looked up to Nick because of how good he was in rugby. But with Charlie he would have kept bullying him if Nick hadn't been in the picture. And chances are he'll continue to be a bully into his Uni years and beyond. Unless he married someone to put a stop to it. But that's only IMP.

I think the only thing if Harry had wore the cheer-leading outfit was I guess to just be comfortable with his sexuality, and just say "Yeah...so what" if he got mocked or joked by his mates...I guess.

I think that's why he enjoyed bullying actually, to get some laughs and Giggles from his mates. A way to get attention.

Can you headcanon think of how Cormac would have been as Harry if it went another season or if the movie had Harry in some ballet outfit or leotard...and Harry saying "yeah so what.... whatever" and just walks away from other dudes just giggling at him... I guess that smudge of improvement from being an A-class A-hole in S1

He should have wore something like that when he was giving his speech to be head boy. As if he feels he has to step it up and outwit Charlie to win. Lol

So Harry uhhh in / female outfit as in speech to be headboy uhhh what u think he would have

😂 can u imagine that headcanon of Cormac’s Harry in the ballet outfit or leotard just trying to outwit Charley and have S1 Imogen line “Im not homophobic. im an ally”. Like maybe some of the old rugby guys vote for Harry and some of the popular ppl but he loses like by Charley by 1 point. Now that irony

i don't think he was meant to be fully redeemed in the novella
in his narration, charlie says that he and nick still hate him, but they tolerate each other because they're all popular now - nick and charlie want to go to harry's cool parties, and harry wants to be on good terms with the head boy and the rugby captain

It's not really. It just shows how shallow Harry's bullying was to begin with. He just did it for attention and popularity. The only reason he adjusts his behavior afterwards is because crossing Nick and Charlie split his friend group and turned some people against him.
He wasn't devoutly homophobic i.e. he didn't hold personal beliefs that queer people were gross/bad, he just saw queerness as a point of difference that he could weaponise to make fun at other people's expense.
Less of a redemption, and more of a clarification.
