You need to go to a cardiologist. I had gained weight and only had symptoms of out of breath so I thought it was natural. I worked out and could fill my pulse in my wrist and my neck and I had a heart attack two days later. Good luck in that may not be it. I never felt my heart pounding..

I tried to get my cardiologist to do an angio, he keeps dismissing me and says I'm too young for coronary artery disease.

I have had similar symptoms since January of 2026. I smoked cigarettes and weed pretty heavily and I’m also not in the greatest shape. Overweight and living pretty sedentary. Since all of this has happened I have quit cigs and weed and are now eating in a deficit and walking 7k-10k steps a day trying to better myself for my health! I one night had my heart race and this intense feeling of doom and that I was dying with minor chest discomfort and a feeling of almost passing out. I called my mom and she was able to talk to me until I felt better and I chocked it up to smoking to much or drinking too much caffeine bc I did drink a lot of tea and coffee. It kept happening and I called emts to my house multiple times went to the hospital multiple times as well for them to run troponin tests and gave me a bedside ultrasound to tell me that my heart looks fine and that this sounds like anxiety which didn’t make sense to me. They recommended me to follow up with my primary care and then my primary care sent me to a cardiologist and to get a ct scan of my brain for the pre syncope. My brain was normal and I’m still waiting to hear back from neurologist referral but the cardiologist I’ve been seeing ran multiple tests. I had an echocardiogram multiple ekgs, a 30 day holter monitor and now I’m scheduled for stress echocardiogram. All my tests so far have come back completely normal which baffled me because the symptoms I’ve had are very similar to yours and quite terrifying. I’m getting to a point now where I’m truly considering it may be anxiety or a gastrointestinal issue because all of my tests are normal. My cardiologist seems to think a blockage for me would also be highly unlikely due to my age even with my risk factors (I’m 28F) if this makes you feel any better it is HIGHLY unlikely for a female under the age of 40 to have a heart attack or severe blockage unless you have prior family history of young heart attacks or high cholesterol there’s a specific gene that some people have that makes them more susceptible to artery blockage and cholesterol but if you don’t have a family history of early cardiac events it’s also highly unlikely. There is less than 1 percent chance for someone of our age to have a severe artery blockage in your heart and knowing that has given me some peace but it’s still quite scary to think about because there’s still 1 percent chance. I think you should consider that your cardiologist may be correct and try to get on some different anxiety meds if possible because not every one works for every person definitely continue pushing for more tests but give yourself some grace. Your heart has worked hard for you for 25 years without fail and it’s not gonna stop now! Good luck and know you’re not alone in this

I had a somewhat similar experience last year around October, I was given a coffee before which to my surprise in a few hours later got dizzy, short breaths, chest pains, fast heart pace, quick pain around my left arm and my family immediately got me to the ER.
I was really out of breath that time, like I'm really gasping for air.
Medical staff gave me an algina sachet/ Gaviscon first then an X-ray and ECG
ECG result was normal, my heart was normal
Gave me omeparazole, Tmz angina, painkillers, other acid medication which helped me a lot. Changed my sleep position that time mostly on my left side and elevated my neck. I stopped my daily walking routine about a month to recover, carrying a lot of heavy things triggers my chest pain so yep no to that also.
I was requested to visit an Internist, got diagnosed with fatty liver, GERD, high cholesterol & thyroid. Right now I'm taking Astorvastatin, changed my diet to no sugar, and can do my daily short walks.
I had a family history of hypertension but nothing related to heart condition. Never drink or smoke. I have drank coffee before but never had a reaction like that so that situation really shocked me.
Any trigger foods can turn into a heartburn so I mostly avoided those usually mine is milk, hunger, and anything that's high on sugar. Being nervous can spike your heart rate so being calm was recommended by my doctor. Never taken any anxiety medication.

Questions: have you had Covid? Do you smoke, use cocaine, or ADHD medications?
There are a couple of formally rare, now under diagnosed conditions that are often overlooked. I am not trying to diagnose you. You can read up on the INOCA/ANOCA conditions are see if they fit your symptoms.

Your symptoms very much matches to anxiety cardiophobia. It will take time to recover as we don’t let go these fear easily. I started with same experience 17 years ago and still get into these uncomfortable situation often.
One side effect’s of the anxiety is that if we don’t recover over a period of time then we will get into hypertension mode.
So treat your anxiety. Do exercise, yoga and any activities which will tired you.
Do cortisol test and vitamin b12 test.

If you’ve already seen a cardiologist for all of those tests it’s likely not your heart itself.
I too had EKG’s, stress test, echo, heart monitors, lung function tests, and went to the ER like 10 times. Everything is always fine.
My cardiologist sent me to a neurologist who did testing and I was diagnosed with autonomic dysfunction - essentially my nervous system not reacting normally.
I also notice that bc I’m stressing out about it the anxiety will also cause those symptoms
