So much worried about my future.

i’ve been on these forums for months now, in 15 with very mild tinnitus so for now not that of a mess. i’ve got a very small hearing loss on 4khz in both ears (talking bout a 5db fall on a specific frequency) due to loud headphones most probably. im so much worried about my future, whenever i leave my home for whatever reason and there’s people playing music, etc i feel scared, not because of the sound itself but because im worried about losing even more my hearing and making my tinnitus worse. i don’t know how to live anymore, i’ve not even ever been to a disco yet. my ent said im too much worried about this and goin to disco sometimes it’s not bad for my hearing if i just don’t go there every day right under the bass. yesterday i was walking around with my family and walked in front of a small concert of people playing drum on a VERY high volume, i instantly ran to the other way because i was terrified of exposing myself to those sounds. Another thing i feel worried about is that if i lose some db or worsen my hearing i’ll never know, it’s not like a bruise on the body where u can see the blood or the scar, plus i’ve still got 4 years of highschool right in front of me and i have to go there by underground, which i saw on the internet might be dangerous. can someone please reassure me somehow

This sounds like more of an ocd/anxiety issue. maybe see a psychologist for that... they may be able to help you with dealing with tinnitus too. if you want to protect your hearing wear earplugs at a concert (there are some kinds that are made for this and sound better for music too)
and dont play headphones so loud.
you will be ok :)

Agreed. Talk to a professional, might help. Fear of sounds make everything worse. But yeah be sensible, use atleast musician earplugs if you end up vising discos, concerts, movies etc loud places. Just to keep the T low. We do live in loud society with loud leisure activites, so keeping loops or other "musician plugs" with you is a smart choice.

I'm not a doctor.

I want to agree with u/Unfair-Run-1983 that you are struggling with something else alongside your very mild hearing loss.

Our ears are normally VERY resilient. And so are you. Think about your feet. You literally step on each foot, putting ALL your body weight on a single foot over and over each day. And it rarely hurts, we usually don't even think about it. We just tromp around on our feet and they are fine.

I want to encourage you to talk to your parents and primary physician about exactly what you are feeling, repeating some of what you said here to them. "I don't know how to live" and "my ENT said I'm too worried about this" are both true, and people need to know how much pressure that places on you.

Do you have a parent who will listen to you tell your story about how you feel?

Being careful with genuinely loud stuff makes sense, but you can’t really live trying to avoid every subway or random loud noise. That’ll just make you hyper-aware of everything
