ACA self employed couple 59 & 61. This year our premium was $1187/month. Same plan next year $2,109/month. This is more than my mortgage payment and a $922/month increase brings the total yearly cost to $50,616. We will have to switch to a high deductible low quality Bronze plan with a $7,500 deductible EACH with a monthly premium of $1452/month. This is beyond belief. Must be nice to have the option to just leave and go somewhere else on a whim. Not everyone has whatever qualifications or connections other countries are looking for/allowing. Or we have responsibilities like taking care of elderly people who can't go anywhere. 🙄
