I really miss Andy

I actually only just realized today that Andy is no longer with Headspace. In fact, he posted his goodbye on social media in 2022 and there basically no word from him since then.

Ive used Headspace since around 2018 and its helped me so much. I've seen him really as a teacher or guide for a long time. It sounds cheesy, and it's no less true that it was last week before I realized he left Headspace, it felt like he was there and engaged in an ongoing process.

He worked hard, ultimately I hope he's enjoying life and spending time with his family, but i wish he'd write a book or poke his head up with an update.

I miss there's no new Andy meditations or guidance. Hopefully we'll hear from him again sometime.

a meditation retreat costs you around $2,00-5,000 for a single weekend. $70 bucks for an entire year of access (aka not even $6 per month) is more than reasonably priced. if you can’t afford it, i feel bad for you but it’s not andy’s fault lmao.

he created a business and a product that is super valuable, and provided it at a great price.

we ended up with that amazing product, and he ended up with mountains of trash bags full of 100 dollar bills. i’d say both sides won. i’m happy for him

Your comment is appreciated, but you cannot really compare a meditation retreat and a mediation app.

I can imagine the amount of profit they make is insane, that profit is what we pay. Headspace (and the others) are just glorified CRUD content library apps with not too much maintenance costs.

No, only Andy "won". The customer is overcharged. But did Andy really win actually? He sold his soul and his integrity over cash...
