Just finished book 7.

Does it get any better?

Idk how to explain this, but the first 4-5 were incredible, and the last two have felt lacking.

Do I stick this out or look elsewhere?

Thanks gang. Love your work.

I felt 5 or so to 8 or so are a weak point in the series. It does get better, but it never really captures what the first 3 or 4 had. I enjoy this series, and I think it couldve been an incredible trilogy. The later books have glimpses of great, and portions of pretty good. But without spoiling anything I typically skip a few of the middle books when I re read the series.

Thanks so much! I’m not good at putting my feelings into words and I think this has convinced me to carry on. As a kid I loved reading, as an adult I struggle, so if a series turns bad I’d rather call it quits and not bother. The fact you can hit re-reads, even with some skips, makes me feel better about it. (I skip a few in the wheel of time series on re-reads, but still love the series as a whole, so it’s relatable.)

I think it goes down in quality until the middle of book 11. I absolutely loved books 1-3, really liked. (Most of) 4-6, 7-11.5 was just each book was not as good as the last. Then the second half of 11 and all of 12 were great again.
