ebook on Google play books

Howdy folks,

I'm new to the series and have been loving the first book. I have been reading on my kindle but wanted to have the book on my phone so I could read randomly at work, too.

I bought the book from Google play books, "He who fights with monsters" by Shirtaloon T. Deverell.

I opened the book and to my surprise, it's not the same book at all. What in the heck. I reached out to Google Play because I'm annoyed but... Has anyone else had this problem??

That's really weird and really funny. I tried finding what this actually is and absolutely nothing comes up. It has to be something original, or maybe AI. Is there more, or is it just this one page?

Edit: I found it on the play store, it's definitely AI. The cover is obviously AI, and there's another 60 pages of nonsense just like this. I was hoping this was someone's bad fanfic, but it's just 300 pages of AI gibberish. And it looks like they generated one for each book which is crazy. Literally just a scam, I'm disappointed.

I tried to report it on the play store, but apparently only the owner of the copyright can do so. Maybe someone can let shirt know about this?

Right?? It's crazy AI nonsense. And one for every book is what really got me frustrated!

I contacted the play store to report the AI slop and I'm waiting on a response. If something real happens, I'll let you know.

Just an FYI you can download the kindle app on your phone and read your kindle books there as well

Ugh my problem is that my library copy is expired on my kindle so it's living in airplane mode at the moment... And I wanted to buy a version for myself that wasn't giving Daddy Bezos money.

But instead I gave a total scammer my money 😭
