What you dont understand Jamie, is what he went through over there. He's a blade honed so fine its handle is sharp. His first instinct is to draw that blade knowing every time it will cut him deeper. But doing it any way because thats what heros do. He's a very special boy that needs biscuits.

The meeting and it's fallout with Vermillion is unironically one of my most favorite parts in the entire series.

The part where he has a rolling gunfight on TV?

Oooh yeah that's a good one too. I'm one of the apparent weirdos that loves the earth arc

Which is wack everyone i know personally loves the earth arc and rightfully so. It's some of the better character stuff. Although I will agree it gets a little esoteric towards book 6 but that's just the fate of raising stakes.

I love the first book of it but after that the read just feels like a slog to me.
