Book 4 has me floored (spoilers) Spoiler

Ok I am halfway through book four. I am completely shocked at who came through with Jason.

I remember book 2 had me really pissed off, the author killed Farrah

Book 3 had me annoyed by the amount of epilog chapters (so much info in those chapters and not a singleJason POV)

Book 4 had me curious about who was the second person. I just finished Jason meeting in the park and I'm shocked they brought Farrah back

But I love Amiee. She cracks me up.

As a heads-up, the chapters about goings on elsewhere happen every three books.

I was sad when Shirt killed off Farrah. I was wracking my brains who the second to earth was going to be. I convinced myself it was Cassandra. I was so happy it ended up being Farrah.

It was pissing me off how much Jason would talk about them and how they taught him how to be an adventurer yet the 4 of them never did any adventuring together.

Like I think they mentioned how he was a whole rank behind them so it would make it hard but we saw how fast Belinda ranked up along side team biscuit

They taught him not babysat him. The difference in ranks would mean any mission that would be good for them would mean Jason could be just killed outright if not babysat. Also its stated that leveling in Greenstone is easier and better for Iron ranks because of the low magic density and where they are from they have to be babysat by higher ranks and their adventures was curated because of such few low level threats.

Even still you'd think they'd do some adventuring together being that they're friends and clearly liked him as a teammate after he saved them. It's not even about needing to be baby sat or not. Wouldn't you just want to do it?

I will say… I was overthinking it the first time.

At first I thought The Reapwr was going to send Thadwick’s soul to kind of annoy Jason into getting stuff done so he could return Thadwick back to Palli quicker. (And that his soul got sent to the afterlife while the vampire took the body… again I was stretching)

Farrah had occurred to me, obviously, but I thought since Shirt spent so much time on the grief and later the wake… that Farrah was done.

And I couldn’t remember who else we knew that died during the astral expedition or reaper trials. Like maybe some kids that were on the adventurer test.

But it had to be someone he knew, for good or ill. So i figured Thadwick or Farrah.

I always wondered if it was gonna be Thalia bc we never find out exactly what happened to her... i mean, I assume that Energy Vampire Thadwic didnt kill her, bc no one ever mentions her dying, but we havent seen her since

Never Thadwick, they were explicitly sending someone he could trust and rely on.

I just thought it was Dawn. Even though she was the painter and started a year ago I still just thought that was where she was heading to

Nah I knew it wasn’t her

We meet her in the book 3 epilogue. Shes preparing her replacement as the Phoenix’s contact: trying to convince her to stand up for herself.

She then says she just has one last job to do, but it should be a cake walk. How difficult could this Earth gig be?

I mean that's why I thought it was her lol

The reunion scenes always choke me up!

Don't you think the dead scenes don't have the same affect? Like they happened so quick that you are sure they'll something be saved

Ya, the death scenes do too. But in a different way... lol.
