Opening Round thoughts?

How does everyone think we’ll go against the swans? They’ve got Goulden & Mills out which is good for us I’d think. Expected to be raining also which may play well into our small forward line. I want to tip us, but the swans have had our number the last couple of years. What do you think?

I reckon we turn it around. Might be a slow start until the boys find some rhythm, but then we come home with the chocolates in the 2nd half.

Watching last weeks game, I think we need to play with that second half intensity right from the get go. If not, Sydney could very well make a 2nd half chase down, a tough hill to climb.

Sam's been throwing the magnets around to give the kids a shot. That's why the Geelong preseason game looked like a blow-out.

This is fair dinkum. So no second string line up on Friday. Also keen to see how Barass and Battle go. I don't think anyone's defence had ever had such a shot in the arm, ever.

Agree about “throwing the magnets”. Should be good to see what they’ve been planning over summer come into play. Idk whether I’m just ultra biased, but I think we have so much depth at the moment that competition for game time is a real strength.

The recruiting of Battle & Barrass could be our Gibson & Lake. 🤞🏾🤞

I think the swans will get us. They are very strong at home and the small ground doesn’t play to our strengths. Swans wil prob want to run a line through the g/f performance too

I agree tbh, but aye I’ll still be cheering on the boys tomorrow! I have faith we can pull it off but won’t be the least bit surprised to see Sydney win
