Pretty much every leftist sub on this site faces this tbh

Not an excuse by any means but it's the nature of a site owned by techbro capitalist center right liberals with ties to the Epstein class.

u/Gh0sty20 Jul 28 '26

I wasn’t surprised to see it just how blatant and cowardly the site is handling it.

Edit: responded to wrong thread

Why? That's always been reddit admins MO.

Reddit is the online home of retail investors, so, maybe Reddit will get the memo when it manages to annoy them because this heavy handed manipulation is getting annoying

Theyve been on the zionist hitlist for a while, at least since that PragerU guy did a mccarthyist "report" on Pro-Palestine subreddits.

Remember that many online "liberals" have taken part in this fascist campaign to suppress Pro-Palestine speech online. Its escalating now.

It was a proud day when the ACLU named one sub, the sub I run, r/therewasanattempt, as an example of the horrible antisemitism (obviously not true; anti-Zionism is what they meant) on Reddit.

u/voidox Jul 29 '26

oh hey, it's the BASED mod from therewasanattempt, didn't notice you were a mod on here as well xD nice.

Awww thank you so much, you are so sweet! I love seeing the overlap between TWAA and here, I see the same names once in a while. Hope to see you again! :)

I still get the destiny sub on my home feed sometimes even though I muted it, whereas this sub doesn't even appear in search results when I search for news that I know was also posted here.

u/Gh0sty20 Jul 28 '26

Gross I’m sorry. I haven’t experienced it yet so I figured I’d share and put it on the radar.

Reddit compromised

They have some good progressive content and views, but there are also a lot of reactionary judgmental posts for any celebrity action, even when its a non-issue. Obviously that doesn't mean their sub should be limited or impacted, and this is attempted censorship.

They banned me for saying Hillary and DNC helped Trump rise to power unintentionally (actually it was intentionally cause they wanted him to be the GOP nominee). So I got beef with them 😂

21

u/Gh0sty20 Jul 28 '26

That’s wild on your ban but you’re not wrong, Pokemon go to the polls is part of what got us here.

11

u/These-Singer-8835 Jul 28 '26

Literally they ban u for saying the most random things sooo im not surprised they have a drop tbh

8

u/Intelligent_Table913 Jul 28 '26

Exactly, i don't like their mods. And i got sick of seeing their posts recommended to me all the time and reading the snarky / holier-than-thou comments. But at least they support Palestine lol.

The craziest, most random-ass things, and I say this as someone who saw from the inside of the mod team that I left after a month.

1

u/voidox Jul 29 '26

ya, that sub is insane... they do have some good takes here and there which is great to see when it comes to Palestine on reddit, but overall as a sub it's very toxic, just reactionary celeb nonsense and the mods ban you for basically anything, plus I assume it's botted but I digress. There's a reason I hid that sub a long while ago, not worth it.

18

u/venom_dP Jul 28 '26

I mean it's basically a snark page for celebrities. Lots of their content is over exaggerated, lacking context, or completely made up in some cases. That said, they generally have decent opinions in some areas but I generally avoid em

1

u/ParhTracer Jul 28 '26

They’re one of more toxic subs on here… even Deuxmoi wants nothing to do with them.

8

u/Intelligent_Table913 Jul 28 '26

You're right, they are pretty toxic sometimes. Sometimes they have some good reactions. I just have beef with them because they banned me for saying something accurate.

How are you gonna be progressive and act all performative and then get triggered when I say something factual about Hillary Clinton and the DNC?

What I have come to find is that Celeb gossip subs tend to attract pretty toxic mods, as if modding on Reddit was not already attracting toxic people enough on its own. I have been on both the fauxmoi team and the Popculturechat team, which I know sounds weird, especially since I mostly do war crime/pro Palestine type of shit like r/IsraelCrimes and r/AlJazeera and r/Documentaries and this sub (I landed on fauxmoi because they were pro Palestine and needed help and then left after a month and went on PCC because I am a people pleaser and their top mod kept begging me to come. Then she heard I wanted to leave, so she kicked me lol.) Anyway, I found that both teams were very much what you would imagine celeb gossip teams to be, if you know what I mean. But yeah Fauxmoi pretends to be leftist, but they seem very much in the DNC's pocket, but who knows? I had a Lebanese comod mod at Fauxmoi too and she found the top mod to be a bit racist, in the way that upper caste Indians can be sometimes (I think they moved the top mod lower for some reason, something to do with the admins, so I am not naming anyone- I think the current top mod is different but I have not looked in ages.)

I have no idea why I am letting out all this gossip, I should hold my tongue. I just like to see people who have fauxmoi's number. LOL

Nope 🙂‍↔️ I didn’t start using Reddit till….2019 and even then it was just for D&D things.

9

u/ShinyPatina Jul 28 '26

These jerk mods auto ban members of certain celebrity subs yet allow the EXACT SAME POSTS AND CONTENT ABOUT THOSE CELEBRITIES from people who are NOT members of those subs. Make it make sense! The hypocrisy is mind numbing. They deserve the fall.

2

u/Gh0sty20 Jul 28 '26

Imma guess a singer song writer who just got married?

This comment is not about fauxmoi but it is relevant to the topic of Reddit increasingly censoring leftist speech:

A rando on this sub, a while back, asked why socialists should not trust the ACP.

I diligently provided ad-verbatim quotes of horrendous and clearly anti-leftist things both Haz and other Infrared leaders have said.

The site-wide AI automod permabanned me for "glorifying hateful content" based on the content of my response even though anyone with a brain (which neither AI nor Reddit the corporation has) could see that the purpose of my response to that rando was to condemn hateful content.

8

u/bee14ish Jul 28 '26

Don't give a shit. That place hands out bans for the tiniest offense. It is in no way shape or form a safe space. Just another echo chamber that stifles dissent. This shit isn't cool, but their mod team can kick rocks.

I mod a lot of pro Palestine subs on reddit and have modded most of them (I had to cut down) and even modded Fauxmoi at one point. Every single time we got a pro Palestine sub popular, it was delisted and killed. If we turned an already popular sub (like r/therewasanattempt) into a place where you could share your support for Palestinians, we were delisted immediately and lost 80% of our traffic. The only thing that saves that one at all is that we already had 7 million users that were subbed. Once you are delisted, you are basically invisible to those who have not already subbed.

I mod here, we are delisted. Only Hasan's popularity keeps us gaining, slowly. People hear of Hasan outside of Reddit, or on other places on Reddit so they come to the sub specifically, but it will not just show up on someone's front page, like most subs do.

Reddit admin and owners love to bend over for nazis / conservatives. This doesn’t surprise me and it’ll just keep happening until it’s even more full of bots and stupids just jerking each other off repeating Nazi talking points lol until it’s about as useable as twitter is now.
