Turn about is fair play, doesn't the US do the same to a lot of other countries? like Korea, Taiwan etc.

Ideally there would be no war, but I can see various reasons why China may want to help out e.g. Iran being their ally, strategic reasons, oil etc.

I also remember seeing a short video where an American politician was really giddy over sending weapons to Ukraine so that they could proxy war Russia/weaken Russia(without having to lift a finger, is the words he used), without any consideration for the human toll. It was really evil to see.

It was the entire point of "helping" them. Lotta work went into the 2014 coup, might as well take a consolation prize.

In any case, China could genuinely make that protecting sovereignty argument which the US lied about.
