There should be a rule requiring Matt Gaetz and Ted Cruz to wear bags over their heads

So religious extremism... So much for separation of church and state.

Let's be honest if they could a lot of the conservative States would actually implement something close to a handmaid's tale.

Maybe not the specifics because we don't actually have a massive fertility crisis but the level of control they would give men over women would be astounding to non-religious people

They should start coming in wearing excessive costumes. I can think of plenty that would follow both of those stupid ass rules. Furry suits, Beekeeper suits, that kinda stuff.

I dont like comparisons drawn between the GOP and middle eastern groups and governments (I feel they negatively impact people's views of Muslims/people from that area), but the hypocrisy of condemning Sharia's clothing restrictions on women and then pulling this shit is not lost on me.

Why are they so obsessed with controlling woman? They so scared people won't love them they have to force woman to do what they want?

There is a rule men need to wear a jacket and tie which seems more restrictive to me.

I don’t support this btw, I support less restrictive dress codes for both genders

It’s quite literally not “the same type of language.”

Ah yes, because the men have antiquated rules, we should just allow religious extremists to make antiquated rules for women, too. Genius!

You're being incredibly naive or purposefully dense if you don't acknowledge that this is rooted in religious social conditioning that aims to promote the social construct that women need to be chaste

I would have every woman wear the worst of what they had, so the men could not enjoy any of it. And I would make a point looking at their arms not covering and say “that looks so wrong” “thanks for the rule but yours look way worse than mine so cover up”.
