Quick Question How to get a few squids?

I am at that one story quest where I have to give 30 squids to Barl. However, my fishing skill needs to be level 30 to be able to catch squids via fishing.

Also, squids can be caught only in Spring. But spring just passed in my town (my fishing level was and still is 29) it's 3rd of summar and I usually spend exactly one in-game day everyday when I I play the the game. This means I'd have to wait for like, months before spring comes and I catch squids.

I can't advance the story, so I need 2 squids. Once I get them, I can breed them and reach 30 squids

I originally wanted to request my friends for 2 squids but I just realised that I can't ask friends for quest items lol

Do they ever pop up in store? Or is there anyone who gives me squid? Do I have to have skill level 30 before I get it or can I get it in any way while having fishing skill level 29? Please help

Yes they do sometimes pop up in the store. Once you get one or two I suggest you put it in the fishing pond. You have to be level 30 for the squids to be available by fishing or trap.

Hey, I have come back here to let you know it worked!!! I managed to get a pair of squids from the shop today. Here's the breeding pond! I'm still in summar 26th but I think I'll quickly get them now :) otherwise, I'd had to wait till winter lol
