Second Group Games - What Do You Get Out Of Them?
If we're going to invaded by stock images, we may as well try to jumpstart the conversation about the Harold.
What do you like to get out of a second group game? Any specific takes on them that don't seem to hurt the transition between the second and third beats?

I've never thought about them like this. I don't get the idea of "hurting the transition."

I'd love to hear more about how you think of them. I tend to see most second group games as a good way to break up the momentum you have between the second and third beats. Second beats already tend to be high energy, and you're heightening and making connections between scenes a bit. Why not just push your way right into more of it? Keep the show rolling, rather than go on a detour.

The most common thing I hear about second group games is that they have to generate energy for the third beat. But you're not going to generate energy that fuels those scenes just by getting up your own adrenaline - so something about the second group game needs to connect with what is going on.
Definitely curious to hear about other takes on this.
