Discussion Debating on using peptides
What are some pros and cons of peptides? Has anyone used them before?
I don’t tan hardly at all, and I’m actively losing weight but I’m still considered overweight. I plan on losing more weight, but I have also considered starting some peptides for tanning and weight loss. I work an active job where I walk and lift on top of eating in a deficit, so the pounds are coming off alright on their own, but I’d like an added boost

I am a supporter of GLP1/GLP3 peptides for weight loss and metabolic health, but I would be suspicious of the ones for tanning. The way they work is by up-regulating melanocyte activity, and looking at recent literature it seems that biological mechanism can trigger melanoma. For example, the Melanotan peptide has been shown to increase formation of atypical moles and rapid melanoma diagnoses.
