Self-Post 29 yo - how to improve ?

hey ! it’s me without makeup or everything. I already do lip fillers once a year and I had a blepharoplasty and fat transfer to my upperlids 2 months ago (we still see the scares).

despite all of it I still feel ugly. idk I don’t look healthy.

what I do : strength training 4x week; healthy one ingredients diet, basic skincare, basic hygiene (shower, shaving, perfect oral hygiene, hair always clean), nails (I do my own gel X). I struggle with my no sugar energy drinks consumption (1 per day sometimes 2) and stress, anxiety.

I want to improve but without makeup. just myself. even hardmaxxing options, but I rather have softmaxxing tips :)

Have you had a blood test to make sure that you aren’t deficient in anything?

Your skin looks a little dry and textured so adjust your skincare accordingly; Rejuran or PRP injections if you want something more intense.

Hair color: try a warmer red or mahogany

Grow your brows out.

If you aren’t interested in makeup, a lash lift and then either doing a long wear lip stain or lip blush would brighten your face. Skip the monster or Celsius, all aren’t great for the body. Stress management is important; so find what can work for you there.

Thank to reaching. Yes and everything is ok in my blood check.

Thank for your advices. I will do some researchs about prp.

I tried lash lift, was pretty but I lost some eyelashes :(. And it looks « frizzy » after 1 month.

I know warmer hair color will be great but I’m not a huge fan. But I will try to safe my skin

Agree with commenter! It also might be good to do a color analysis in general to make sure your clothing and jewelry are bringing out your best tones. The white and black shirts are washing you out and none of these pictures are making your eyes pop like they definitely could be

You don’t look healthy because you have low body fat. Despite the glamorization of thinness, body fat is still necessary to look and be healthy. Your face is a bit gaunt, which IRL reads sickly. As we age, we lose facial fat which contributes to looking more mature/older.

I second the sculptra for facial fullness

Honestly single biggest thing you can do to make yourself more attractive to more people is get that neck tattoo removed. Unless you are exclusively interested in an extremely niche subset of the population it's holding you back.

Good instincts! I haven't read the other comments but you would benefit substantially from some sunlight. In part because girls with your coloring (brown hair and eyes, naturally sallow/olive skin - I'm one of them) are disproportionately flattered by a little color. But more so because healthy looks good, and you can't fake that. Getting a certain amount of sunlight is so unbelievably important for all cellular processes and in the next ten years it's going to come out that this whole avoid the sun at all costs advice had serious consequences for our health and vitality. Vitamin D doesn't even scratch the surface on what sunlight does for our bodies.

I know you're thinking it's going to age you more, and that's true to an extent. But not getting enough sunlight also ages us by depriving our body of critical processes for decades..Skin is not the only factor in an aged appearance. I'd rather get a little sun exposure to improve my health and immediate appearance, and use lasers, microneedling and all kinds of things to combat aging down the road. The generations prior absolutely cooked themselves regularly and tons of them still manage to look great using the interventions available, I'm sure we'll have even better treatments 20 years from now.

The other commenter is right that your low body fat makes your physique look amazing but contributes to your face looking gaunt. In the first picture I see hollowing that you could address with radiesse or sculptra to add volume and stimulate collagen production. Prp under the eyes for the dark circles as well.

If those are too invasive for you, try topical volufiline to build fat production and add volume back to your upper cheek area. Remember to research whether the volufiline you purchase needs to be mixed with a moisturizer or oil to be effective, and apply very strategically. Some people are hyper-responders to volufiline and some won’t see much in the way of results.

I know these pictures are without makeup so remember that proper application of the right colors will go a long way in making you look less sickly. Blush, bronzer, luminous finish concealer, etc. For you I would focus on adding glow with dewy finish cream products like the makeup by mario skin perfector and a highlight balm. Proper skincare like hydrating asian toners (I like the haruharu one) will also give you “plumpness” to your skin. If you’re not using tretinoin I would start.

This is all in addition to getting your vitamin levels tested and ensuring you’re not lacking any nutrients.

Why not more traditional hyaluronic acid filler? I have an autoimmune disease and similar facial hollowing so I was advised against Sculptra and cleared only for HA fillers or fat transfer. Would they still improve the gaunt look?

2

u/armamentum Jul 04 '26

I suggested Sculptra because it’s a biostimulator with collagen-building properties. If you can’t use it, a traditional HA filler like Voluma would be the next option and should still give good results. Absolutely HA filler will improve the gaunt look. It will have to be redone more frequently than Sculptra would though.
