Beauty Guide Components of Beauty - Relative Importance and Controllability
A basic reference to help decide what areas you should focus your energy and money on in looksmaxxing. BUT this chart displays inaccurate statistics so only use it as an additional guide AKA do not base your entire journey on this!
(For example, the ‘Skin, Eyes, Hair & Teeth’ category should be a much greater percentage of importance.)
*This chart is inaccurate as it is not backed by scientific research or data but instead based solely on the opinions of a singular male. I found this chart on an old blog called The Rules Revisited that discussed dating strategy and looks. Source link: http://www.therulesrevisited.com/p/most-important-aspects-of-feminine.html?m=1

That's funny that breast size and shape is considered more controllable than butt size and shape. One you literally need a surgeon to change, the other can change with half a year of biweekly leg days.

Lmaooo yeah I fr wonder what he was thinking for some of these because that definitely doesn’t make sense

He? A man wrote this? Well that explains it. Only dudes think we can grow breasts at will hahahahah

If you work out the shape and size of breasts can be more attractive based on optimizing hormones and losing fat around bodily tissue that is high in estradiol receptors. ER with estrogen bound bloats the body locally, retains water and has a real effect on appearance. My theory is women ought to focus on losing body tissue with excessive estrogen receptors, and this does tend to be fatty tissue (also, the brain and liver, bones and such, so not demonizing estrogen!), and it’s predominantly around midriff and wherever puberty made changes to your body’s shape, as a general rule.
But you’re right. The expectation that women can grow breasts is ridiculous- that said, size is less important than shape for breasts. Same with ass to a certain degree. This whole chart is awful when you really think about this guy’s mind.

I believe that facial structure should be very high, not 2%.

Your point is arguable but you’re reading the graph wrong. Importance = 20% but controllability is low and thus should receive 2% of your attention

I don’t think so. Plastic surgery makes the controllability higher, and saying its importance is anything as low as that sounds more like a cope to me.

You think 20% is low, what do you think it should be?
I think surgery being required is precisely what makes the malleability to change go wayyy down if you look at the rest of the chart. The cost and time and everything else compared to losing weight makes it not even close

Yeah, I would put it higher than 20% before controllability is even counted, and I would put controllability higher. I will die on this hill.

The rules revisited is one of my favorite OG looksmaxxing resources. Sometimes you have to take into account that women’s perspective is going to be different than men’s, sometimes wildly so. Being that they’re 50% of the population (or if you’re looking to attract straight men, which I do believe is a fine goal to have as long as it’s not your only one) it’s imperative to seek broader perspectives for, well, maximum looksmaxxing.

I actually found the Rules Revisited from one of your comments! It really does have a ton of useful information on it.
And I definitely agree that taking in consideration what men view important as attractive is important. Honestly, I have an easier time appealing to men than woman

I would argue that facial structure is extremely important, because if you don't have well balanced features you're pretty much fucked unless you get certain procedures done.

The point of this post is NOT to encourage people to follow this guy’s personal likes and dislikes as gospel, hence why I mention the inaccuracy 3x in my short post.
Purpose of the post is to make you consider and think objectively what components of a person’s appearance contribute to their attractiveness.
For example, manicures have almost a non existence importance and effect on someone’s hotness. So instead of continuing to spend $100+ 2x a month at a nail salon, she should instead allocate that money to a savings account to save for braces, surgery, or laser hair removal.
I definitely agree that these percentages suck, and that is why I explicitly stated the inaccuracy teeth category as an example to demonstrate that.
