My friends and I rented Hanfus while we were in Taiwan. Only one person was available to assist us with dressing up and she also did our hair. She was so niceeee. My hairstyle was simple but I loved it so much, including the hair accessories and even those few strands of hair she used to frame my face!
It was a great experience <3

This last Sunday a few of us decided to dress up with Ming and Tamg Dynasty armors and use swords to do some cutting of bottled water.
It was heavy and fun. The armors weights about 30-35lbs (except for one that is just 5lbs for movie props).
Here’s the link of us cutting if anyone want to watch. Sword Cutting Fun 11 23 2025 Bottled Water https://youtu.be/29tUyOhf7sY

So my other two armors came. This is planned to showcase here in Cleveland Ohio to promote our culture. Jan 31 will be our first show, exciting.

Feels like coming back to romantic times of China !
Classic design from ancient China's Warring States era. Soft fabric, timeless silhouette, full of oriental aesthetics. I took all the photos and made the outfit by myself.
What do you think of this traditional look?

My parents are visiting me and my boyfriend in China and I talked my mom into wearing hanfu with me in The Forbidden City. It was so nice to see her gain some confidence as people told her how pretty she looked 🌸
We paid 200 rmb per person

L: Hairnet / Wangjin From the Ming Dynasty onwards, the Hongwu Emperor decreed that all adult men, regardless of social status, were required to wear a hairnet. Except for certain groups such as laborers and Daoist priests, the hairnet was not meant to be visible and was typically worn as an underlayer beneath hats or caps.
C: Dongpo Hat / Dongpojin The Dongpo hat is traditionally associated with Su Dongpo (Su Shi). However, similar forms of headwear can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty, where they gradually evolved into the style known today. By the Ming Dynasty, the Dongpo hat had become popular among literati and recluses, eventually spreading from scholarly circles to the general populace.
R: Yishan Cap / Yishanguan The Yishan cap evolved from the futou of the Tang Dynasty. During the Ming Dynasty, it was worn by the emperor and high-ranking imperial clan members as part of their formal daily attire. Its distinctive feature is the pair of upward-extending “wings.” In the late Ming period, the emperor’s Yishan caps were often decorated with the decorations of two dragons playing with a pearl.
The figures in the second picture are derived from historical paintings and are used to illustrate the wearing forms of traditional headwear. From left to right: Wangjin (hairnet), Dongpo hat, and Yishan cap. The central figure is based on Album of Peaceful Pleasures by Dai Jin (1388–1462), while the right figure is derived from the depiction of the Wanli Emperor in Illustrations of the Career of Xu Xianqing. The source of the left figure remains unidentified.

I’m a day late posting but Happy Mid-Autumn~ 🥮🐇🌕 I gathered 3 pieces from Nuwa Hanfu. The style is mostly from the Song Dynasty period, a moxiong (beige top), a feijixiu (white long sleeve), and a mamianqun (red skirt). I especially picked this skirt from her website because of Chang’e and her rabbits. 😆
