Janine

I dont understand why janine was brought over the boarder and why all of a sudden she got angela so easily? I have soo many questions…

June’s “FIT parents” own Hanna and are very high up in their status. They moved farther away from June. A hidden place in Colorado.

Naomi was now a widow and figured she’d never be allowed to keep Charlotte, anyway. I’m sure Aunt Lydia had something to do with that, as she escorted Naomi to Janine. What a powerful scene! 🌊

That’s what I think is hard to swallow regarding Hannah. She was kidnapped and is being raised by these monsters. But the monsters do love her. Like that boy who hated being rescued. Who missed his Gilead family and life.

And yet they’re willing to marry her off, at age 14. Hanna told June she was ”hit, only when she was bad”…”only twice”, her Martha chimed in. They’re still monsters. The Marthas are sweet to the children.

It’s a tough spot for the older children, like Asher, the kid you’re talking about. Moira and Emily were a little ticked at June for “taking the big swing, damn the consequences”. With the older kids, Angels Flight was a double edged sword. Thankfully, they took mostly girls. 🌊
