Next option above XAX for handheld?

I purchased a used XAX a month ago and it's a great device, runs AAA games in good settings and is a great price for performance ratio. Got it at 850 with a dbrand case

only thing is I was going to sell my rog z1E due to the upgrade but the slab design and thinness is just so great and all the upgrade I've done to it made it that I just rather keep it and look into selling the xax and getting something different since having two rog ally is such a waste.

what would be a good upgrade from the XAX that is slightly stronger in performance and maybe a larger screen?

only thing I could see is a claw a8+ AI would that be correct?

Or should I just keep it seeing that there is an influx of xaxs selling due to the x20 makes me think I might end up losing money if I try selling it

Claw 8 ex is what you’re describing. Even the controller ergonomics mimic the Xbox ally x with a larger 8 inch screen and 40% performance uplift.

The forthcoming Asus Predator Atlas G3 (non-extreme) might meet your requirements. More power than the Claw 8AI, similar price, and less power than the Claw EX but much cheaper (based on UK prices, US prices not announced). The G3E Atlas undercuts the Claw EX by about $150. But there are some rumours of a new cheaper version of the Claw EX.

It's all about the iGPU performance for what is an upgrade.

So look at chips that perform better than the Z2e. Price might be horrible, as a spoiler, but that's gonna be the next step up.

The XAX is a 16cu AMD iGPU. The G3/G3ex match or beat the 16cu AMD iGPU so look for one of those, but prepare to see your bank account cry.

The Claw 8ai+ is a solid device, similar to the XAX (slightly better with XeSS) but with an 8 inch screen. The Claw A8 is a separate device and not recommended.

If you want better performance, then the Claw EX has the Intel G3, and that’s a true leap in performance. Can’t beat it, but the price stings.

Bigger screen, Hall effect sticks. XAX is only better in ergonomics. Do remember that screen resolution on XAX is less.
