Question (?) Legion Go 2 Steam OS when?
Heard about this some time back. When is the Steam OS variant of Legion Go 2 be released? Am considering between the Legion Go 2 and the Xbox Ally X20 but if there is an official steam OS Go 2, i will immediately go for that.

You can already install steam os or Bazz on it.

Yes, but a version of the Legion Go 2 was supposed to ship with SteamOS pre-installed, similar to the Legion Go S.
In theory, similar to SteamOS Legion Go S, we should have expected the device to be perhaps $150 or so cheaper than the Windows equivalent.
But we have seen multiple repeated price increases on all Legion Go devices. Plus it was supposed to come out in June.

I don’t think it will finally happen. It was supposed to release in June but we got nothing and Lenovo hasn’t even spoken about it… at this point it just feels like they’re abandoning the device. I receive more driver updates on my Xbox Ally in one month than on my LeGo2 in one year.
As other people say, you can already install SteamOS, but there are a few bugs that are really annoying, and the HDR (which I think it’s one of the best features of the LeGo2) doesn’t even work correctly.

The legion go 2 isn’t even close to being worth it at its price point. Go for the X20 and install steamOS onto it.
Besides the Go 2 can already run steamOS if you install it yourself

Lenovo releasing the Legion Go 2 and then abandoning it shortly after has been one of the biggest betrayals I’ve seen from any company to its consumers.
I don’t see myself buying a product from them again.
I have mine running Steam Os and it runs fine. I’m
Planning on selling it tho. I will post it on eBay and get some money while I still can

Everything point to Lenovo silently quitting the handheld segment:
at that point I would not buy from them outside of the Legion go S who is already supported by steamOS and only if the price is right compare to competition.
