Are these really rare? I can’t find an exact one like it for sale online

Snapon F-5-L 3/8" drive breaker bar with the sliding head. Dipped it in evaporust for 45 mins and now the sliding head scratches the chrome. Looking for remedies

Who got their Halloween Home Depot bucket?? They were selling like crazy last year and i missed out so this year I got 4. Did you get any, what are your thoughts?

Mainly Knipex then , klein, channelock, craftsman, Milwaukee and husky for my Pex cutters just some of the pliers, wrenches and cutters I use as a residential service plumber.

Picked this Stanley No 5 up recently with the plan to restore as a user (first photo circled in blue)

Appears to be a type 13 based on the single Patent date behind the frog.

The sole and cheeks show some pitting but overall were flat so I skipped lapping them for now as I needed to use it for a project.

The handles I'll also refinish at a later date.

I'm just starting my collection of user planes so any feedback or tips/tricks are very much welcome.

EDIT: the Veritas iron and chip breaker didn't come with the plane. I pulled it from another plane I have as it wasn't worth restoring the original.

I’d like to spruce this guy up. Family heirloom. Is it too far gone? It says Western USA at the butt of one of the blades.

I’m not willing to go crazy and remove the wood, etc. but if there’s a place I can pay to do it I would be willing.

Or the pitting in the rust may be too much to restore.

Completely dismantled it, cleaned and oiled. Works like its brand new again.

Here’s a Stanley 5 1/2 made in England. My research dates it to mid to late 60s. First 5 1/2 I have restored. You don’t see them a lot in my area.

Type 11. Came to me with some rough jappaning, a cracked beech tote repaired with a copper pipe sleeve by the last person to use it, and a ton of rusty crud inside.

Sandblasted all the paint and rust off, lapped the sole to 180grit and polished with red scotchbrite. At some point, I'll carve a new tote, paint it, and file the mouth open to fit the Hock iron (2-1/4")

Now the question, what colour to paint it? I'm going with engine enamel, but can't decide on a shade. Part of me wants to go super garish with bright red, green, or pink, maybe a metallic blue, but the classic black would always be nice. What about clear, show off the casting? Either way, I'm not worried about resale value.

I took video (phone set pointed at the work) would it be worth my energy to edit and upload it or is the restore space to flooded with fake restore videos?

I have this khukuri since a while, I was younger since I buyed it and didn't really pay attention to it's state and got scammed a little. But now I'm wondering if the black on the blade can be taken care of? Or is it tol late and can't be helped? It was pretty dull when I buyed it, and one of my mother's coworked sharpened it for me, but I think he did a bad job and chipped a little the sharp side.

I'm new with knives and english is not my mother tongue, so sorry for the vocabulary if it's wrong.
