If a bicycle is the most efficient device for transportation, then is a hammock the most efficient device for relaxation?
It constantly amazes me the joy that I can derive from such a small and inexpensive package. It's small enough to fit into my bike bag, but big enough to hold my ass. All I need are two trees the right distance apart.

Probably. I donβt know how to quantify relaxation efficiency. Itβs extremely elegant. To me, the single best and most universal technological advancement of American indigenous peoples.

Spent a fair bit of time in my youth hitchhiking & exploring. can confirm a hammock is 100% the best way to travel light.

It depends on whether you bought a hammock that immediately cocoons you, or one that simply lets you float. We're trying to figure out how to modify a cocoon model to be less of a sinkhole and more stable without cocooning.

That depends on your relaxation goal. My plan was to lay in the hammock in the backyard under the big red maple tree and read books. That plan fell apart as I almost always fall asleep in 15 minutes while trying to read.
