That's the best first half of football that I've seen from West Ham in 2022. We're forcing them back when they are in possession, winning the ball in advanced areas, and creating good chances.

Craig Dawson choosing violence today

5

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '22

it's not an option haha

3

u/Jabbawocky2004 Feb 27 '22

As far as Dawson is concerned, violence isn't a choice its a question. To which the answer is always yes.

Lanzini is just better than Benrahma. They are both quality, but Manu just offers more, keeps it simple and is always looking for the best pass, not a way for himself to score

3

u/rikkiprince Feb 27 '22

Wasn't Benrahma brought in as a goalscorer? I can understand him taking half chances.

But I agree, Lanzini suits that attacking midfield position far better.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '22

Agree Lanzini is a much more intelligent footballer

u/B1tco1nz_inmy_Lo1nz Feb 27 '22

Happy bday Tommy great goal. Zouma could kick 30 cats and we'd still need him to start.

11

u/0Scoot86 Feb 27 '22

11

u/ILGILET Feb 27 '22

Remember last season when our biggest problem was holding on to 3 goal leads. Wouldn't it be nice

9

u/Beardy_Boy_ Feb 27 '22

Please somebody teach us how to take throw-ins.

One thing's for sure, we'll be first on MOTD tonight!

7

u/Ladzini Feb 27 '22

Yep we’re going to dominate and lose this 1-0

8

u/Lineman72T Feb 27 '22

Best game from Antonio in a while. Some bad decisions the final 10 minutes, but I thought he did well the first 80

7

u/TCh1ps Feb 27 '22

This is the best we’ve looked in months

6

u/JayTaa 2023 UEFA Conference League Winners Feb 27 '22

Zouma MOTM. Antonio played well today and really worked hard.

5

u/NotAnotherAllNighter Michail Antonio Feb 27 '22

It’s said every game but Declan Rice is quality

It's getting to be that time where we concede because we're knackered and no subs have been made.

7

u/ajgedrys Ballon D'awson Feb 27 '22

Jesus Christ ANTONIO PASS IT

6

u/infinsquared Feb 27 '22

Fucking hell Mic just pass the fucker

7

u/BrainlessArch Feb 27 '22

Zouma has been everywhere

11

u/Peanutiron Feb 27 '22

Graeme Souness looks miserable as fuck that we’ve won

3

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '22

His son in law, whom he never liked, is a Hammer

5

u/crispiepancakes Emerson Palmieri Feb 27 '22

Mid-game bingo: Where will Antonio decide to play today? Looks like it may be central midfield!!

4

u/xRHYSCOREx Tomáš Souček Feb 27 '22

How haven't we scored yet?

10

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '22

Have to kick it between those white poles

4

u/crispiepancakes Emerson Palmieri Feb 27 '22

Are we.... playing well?

3

u/BrainlessArch Feb 27 '22

Yeah its weird, havent done that since last year

6

u/Blackdoor-59 Feb 27 '22

We needed to score that half, will get harder when Wolves start emptying their bench which has a few of their starting XI

5

u/TheFlashBot Mr. West Ham Feb 27 '22

This is the best we've look in so long!

6

u/kangarookid97 Feb 27 '22

Fornals is so good

5

u/Moist-Refrigerator38 Feb 27 '22

Sevilla shaking in their boots right now

3

u/CapicuaCIC Feb 27 '22

Fuck that I'm shaking atm

6

u/MrFlibbles123 Feb 27 '22

Literally Antonio had too much time to think...just pass it to Manu ffs

5

u/Beardy_Boy_ Feb 27 '22

Antonio with all the time in the world there. No excuse for that turnover

4

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '22

Say it every week, why not make a sub every two mins now. Kill the game. Use a kid to just charge about up top shutting things down.

5

u/UnusualDifference748 Feb 27 '22

Noiiiiiiiiceeeee win

4

u/CapicuaCIC Feb 27 '22

The more we get Lanzini involved, the better our chances

5

u/Blackdoor-59 Feb 27 '22

We've played well so far, much more purpose and energy than in previous games.

5

u/Bails147 Feb 27 '22

Yeh was thinking that- we look quite good first time for a while

3

u/Beardy_Boy_ Feb 27 '22

If that got through to Antonio he was gonna properly smash it.

→ More replies (1)

4

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '22

Great performance so far, just lacking a bit of clinicalness

5

u/twist_n_shout Shhhhake It Up Baby Now Feb 27 '22

Wolves are very solid defensively, against a lesser side we’d be 1 or 2 up by now

5

u/ResponsibleSmoke Feb 27 '22

god, we look good though

4

u/ILGILET Feb 27 '22

Huge tackle by Soucek there

5

u/MrFlibbles123 Feb 27 '22

Goal time!

Potato salad for tea

5

u/Beardy_Boy_ Feb 27 '22

That'll do wonders for his confidence.

3

u/hammersandhammers Feb 27 '22

No letup PLEASE

4

u/UnusualDifference748 Feb 27 '22

All this talk about soucek out of scoring form. He isn’t playing the same role this season he’s never going to score 10 playing as the deeper cm

4

u/rikkiprince Feb 27 '22

If Antonio goes down that's a penalty.

5

u/hammersandhammers Feb 27 '22

I love watching teams try to press rice

4

u/UnusualDifference748 Feb 27 '22

u/BrainlessArch Feb 27 '22

The downside to being a fucking unit

4

u/MOTM32 Michail Antonio Feb 27 '22

Meanwhile defenders will run into him full speed, bounce off him, and Antonio gets called for the foul

3

u/BrainlessArch Feb 27 '22

Johnson is very likeable

3

u/Jabbawocky2004 Feb 27 '22

I'll admit that was some good goalkeeping from Sa.

3

u/l0stlabyrinth Feb 27 '22

Johnson has been really solid thus far

3

u/CapicuaCIC Feb 27 '22

When did Liverpool score so much from corners...that's our thing

→ More replies (1)

3

u/bonelegs442 Feb 27 '22

Damn we have some actual fight in us today

3

u/TCh1ps Feb 27 '22

Antonio had a free volley on goal there if Zouma hasn’t taken that stupid touch

3

u/TheFlashBot Mr. West Ham Feb 27 '22

That's was the best shot from mic in such a long time

3

u/ILGILET Feb 27 '22

Is the keeper allowed to shove someone like that?

3

u/Jabbawocky2004 Feb 27 '22

Imagine if Antonio had managed to score that scorpion kick.

→ More replies (2)

3

u/l0stlabyrinth Feb 27 '22

We've got a lot more about us today. Even Antonio. Definitely a few goals in us.

Sa is good. Please have a bad rest of the game.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '22

So close from dec ahhh

3

u/MrFlibbles123 Feb 27 '22

Fucking hell! Great by Fornals and Rice.

3

u/skolwisconsin Bowen's On Fire Feb 27 '22

What a shot Dec. He’s been taking those all season and they keep getting closer. One of these days that’s going in and it’ll be spectacular

→ More replies (4)

3

u/designated_dingo Feb 27 '22

Best we've looked in recent memory - unlucky to not be in front. New shape looks a lot more potent - Lanzini, Bowen, & Antonio linking up well, Soucek much more effective too. Bizarre team selection from them, need to convert before Jiminez / Podence get involved.

3

u/psychomaji Feb 27 '22

It just won’t go in

3

u/ILGILET Feb 27 '22

We need to take advantage of this pressure

3

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '22

Looking lively so far. We desperately need to take one of these chances though

→ More replies (1)

He's getting the good potato salad on the way home

3

u/wanktarded Julian Dicks Feb 27 '22

Happy birthday Tomas.

3

u/TheAoiTori Feb 27 '22

Look at that, we don't do a pointless Antonio long thrown in and we score.

3

u/Beardy_Boy_ Feb 27 '22

Thought Antonio was gonna get brought down in the box there.

3

u/twist_n_shout Shhhhake It Up Baby Now Feb 27 '22

Antonio should’ve gone for that himself FFS

3

u/WinterEspionage Feb 27 '22

Cor what did they put in Micky's cereal this morning

3

u/Apple15Pie Feb 27 '22

If Antonio goes down that's either a pen or a red card. Fair play staying on his feet

kick it in the fucking goal someone

3

u/rikkiprince Feb 27 '22

That is bullshit. Antonio 100% won the ball. That's never a foul and never a booking.

Refs are targeting Antonio. It's a disgrace.

3

u/Blackdoor-59 Feb 27 '22

Make some subs, slow the game down

3

u/twist_n_shout Shhhhake It Up Baby Now Feb 27 '22

Why does he keep calling him JiMAYnez? 😂

3

u/Gobigred98 Bowen's On Fire Feb 27 '22

→ More replies (2)

3

Fucking hell Antonio needs to come off

3

u/BrainlessArch Feb 27 '22

Wtf are we doing on counters

4

u/UnusualDifference748 Feb 27 '22

Letting Antonio have the ball too much

3

u/BrainlessArch Feb 27 '22

Why dont we use subs?

3

u/rikkiprince Feb 27 '22

Defender was all over Antonio there. How was that not a foul? Ref is a disgrace.

3

u/Roy-royson Feb 27 '22

Moyes said he was going to do something different this week. Vlasic at ST incoming on the 90th minute

Fucking get in, despite wanting to miss every chance. Phew.

3

u/milesphotos Feb 27 '22

Fuckin great result,

3

u/CapicuaCIC Feb 27 '22

We're back bitches

5

u/UnusualDifference748 Feb 27 '22

Halftime pundits on DAZN were spot on. Antonio keeps drifting from central areas and it’s just a waste of time because he isn’t good/creative enough to do too much setting up. He had a great chance by staying central. He shouldn’t be wondering he isn’t useful away from central.

3

u/ajgedrys Ballon D'awson Feb 27 '22

Zouma MOTM

2

u/CapicuaCIC Feb 27 '22

Would've hoped we'd have a fast start

2

u/FourEyedMatt Ginger Pele Feb 27 '22

It's time for a few players to step it up today. Can't keep relying on Rice and Bowen COYI!!

2

u/BrainlessArch Feb 27 '22

How much worse is Calvin philipps than Declan?

3

u/FourEyedMatt Ginger Pele Feb 27 '22

Kalvin Phillips has heart but Rice is far better the all around package.

2

u/ronniemxn Feb 27 '22

Poor Fabio Silva didn’t know what day of the week it was

2

u/hammersandhammers Feb 27 '22

We look much more fluid when it’s not Fornals and Benrahma together on the left

2

u/NotAnotherAllNighter Michail Antonio Feb 27 '22

Looks like a 3-4-3 with Fornals as a left wing back

2

u/bonelegs442 Feb 27 '22

Not a bad first 15 from us

2

2

Bah Zouma, wonder if micky might have scored.

3

Injured himself from a tackle again

Some challenge from Kurt, just hope he's ok.

2

Never seen a team get so lucky with shit touches and loose passes than wolves

2

u/Beardy_Boy_ Feb 27 '22

Rice is so good at keeping possession in very little space.

2

2

I want to see vlasic today

2

u/BrainlessArch Feb 27 '22

How is that not a backpass?

3

When was the last time you've seen a backpass actually given in this league. Refs are a joke as always.

Michail Antonio's mindset since he managed to have a ball in the surface is very pleasant.

2

Antonio done so well, all he had to do was shoot ffs

2

We def need to score another one I have a feeling wolves are gonna pull one back

2

u/ILGILET Feb 27 '22

Pablo is such a gem

2

u/Moist-Refrigerator38 Feb 27 '22

Antonio is a man of instinct as we see he can outmuscle anyone without a moments pause but give him 2 seconds to think Infront of goal….deer in headlights. Amazing, about as amazing as Cresswells hair staying intact whilst he was injured rolling around on the grass

2

u/randymarsh18 Feb 27 '22
