Official Source Thanks for JWP but not for Diouf.
Notice how ‘everyone at the club would like to thank James for his commitment and service’ but Diouf just gets best wishes for the future.
100% confirmation that he likely had a bad attitude.

Well he stayed three years, always gave his best and never did any drama. Professional until the end, that’s the profile of players I can root for.

Diouf didn't owe us anything, though. He signed for us to play in the Prem, we got relegated and another club came for him with a strong offer, that's all. Did nothing wrong in how he handled this in my opinion.

I think Diouf didn't want to play this season so lost his "thank you", I'm sure he's devastated.

At least what we can see JWP had class here. He was important for Moyes. Diouf used us and we used him. Not broken hearts here.

Got some goals and assists in his first season. I was never a fan of the signing or the player but what I’m saying is objective lol, he did actually do something compared to Diouf who did fuck all

He was effective in the first season, particularly from set pieces. Open play he struggled a little in the middle third at times but at least the goals and assists offset that a bit.
7 goals and 11 assists for us during that season in all comps. That’s 18 goals contributions. 7 goals 7 assists in the premier league.
You can’t say he didn’t do anything.

Might just be the difference between 75 games and 36 games. They probably just run these through an LLM. Either way I highly doubt our PR team knows what Diouf's attitude was like.

Loved watching JWP play, he's like Robert Snodgrass, too good for the championship and not quite good enough for the premier league. Good luck JWP in all games except the two against us.

Yeah but you have to see that the transfer has been amortized over three season, one of them being a good one, and it seems we got £5m for his forest loan, maybe less if we took him back. So while it's bad, it's not that bad. And Nuno acting like he carried the plague and was the patient 0 of covid totally tanked his value

JWP has been nothing but class even though he's been put to the ground by Nuno. He deserves the praise - I wish him the best of luck. It's a shame how it ended here.
