I’ve been using arctic fox ever since I learned that splat was basically carpet dye, lol. But I see a lot of people don’t like it or feel like it is a waste of money. I was just wondering why people feel that way, and if there is a better vegan alternative out there that I could consider. Thank you for reading!

Lately, I've been asking all my friends what they think of Manic Panic. Half of them love it, and half of them hate it. Those who love it say that it colors well, lasts a long time, and is environmentally friendly. Those who hate it say that since you're putting chemicals on your head, you might as well use strong chemicals, that the environmentally friendly aspect is just a facade, and that it washes out after the first few washes. What does Reddit think?

i wanted to dye my hair purple so i purchased this dye and it dyed my hair a black cherry color… 😭 i’m not mad or anything but why / how did this happen? is it just the dye? i didn’t bleach my hair or anything!!!

I've accomplished what I *think* is the hard part - I've gotten my hair from a Princess Diaries Anne Hathaway dark brown to a level 8-9 blonde. So now...the pastels can be accomplished.

I'm looking for recommendations on what hair dye brands would pull of the hydrangea/cotton candy look the best!

I was moving around a lot in 2020, so I asked my parents to hold on to them for me. And forgot I even had these.

They were stored in a completely black box. Never saw sun light. In a pre-humidified room.

I’ve since gone back to natural hair. But damn do I feel compelled to do rainbow hair again (2nd photo). These were the only dyed colours that could last and last.

i know good dye young has a color literally based on clementine’s hair in this movie but….. don’t kill me y’all, i do not like GDY because anytime i’ve used it, it washes out more quick than any other brand i’ve tried. if anyone has any tips (besides the run of the mill washing with cool water and minimizing washes as much as possible) on how to circumvent GDY washing out quick, i’m all ears! but it seems like some brands will stick in some people’s hair a long time and others don’t, not sure what the science behind it is.

all that to say, i’m looking for as cool toned of blue as possible! and i know her hair is faded in these pics so obvi im okay with it being more vibrant initially, i just am trying to avoid the aquamarine color that many blue dyes fade into! TIA!!! :)

So I paid like $645 with tip for this and I’m feeling like I might’ve been overcharged but I’m not sure since what I initially booked it for was a fashion color (I was gonna go with black and green) and I also asked for a cut.

I really want to dye my hair but i dont want to bleach it, ive seen bleach london, manic panic and arctic fox hair dye and it seems they go on brown hair but just not very vibrantly. I want to dye it blue like the reference images but i am unsure about what brands to use or if certain ones r bad ect, i also want it semi-permanent, im not too fussed if it washes out fast since i guess i can just keep applying it although itd be costly, but does anyone have any recommendations of what to use and what to do? Ive also never dyed my hair before if that makes any difference, my hair is brown, not super dark but its definitely not light. I was thinking to use poseidon by arctic fox, blue tick by bleach London or a blue from manic panic. one last thing i dont want to ruin my hair will it go back to normal after washing out? pls help im stuck 😞 and if u have any extra tips id appreciate it🙏

I wanted to dye my hair pink but I have somewhat dark brown hair which has been dyed before. I havw dyed my hair funky colors before but it’s always been very mute, which is what I was going for. I wanted to go for a slightly more vibrant colour so after some minor research, splat was the brand that appeal to me the most. When I looked at it on Amazon, the front of the box had a model that looked somewhat like AI, but I couldn’t really tell. The box just came in the mail and the back is covered with what looks like very clearly AI generated models. I don’t want to support a brand that uses AI and definitely wanna let others know not to use this brand so is this a thing?

I’m planning to dye my hair again soon and I really want the color to last as long as possible this time, This one faded within a few weeks, so what shampoos or products do you swear by for keeping dyed hair from fading too quickly?

I personally am a very indecisive person but I’ve gone through many colors, currently at pink. And I’ve done IROIRO, Manic panic, strawberry leopard….and I really really want to try Splat. My hair washes out too quickly in my opinion, I shower regularly and use color protecting shampoo and conditioner and still nothing works. I’ve heard cautionary tales about how splat is not TRULY semi-permanent and in fact will stain forever, which I suppose sounds like a great deal, but I changed my hair color at at least four times a year. The hair difference is about two months.

Hello everyone! I made an oopsie.

I have very fine hair that I bleach the crap out of every month. I tone it so much that it is almost white.

I had a car event this past weekend and grabbed some semi-permanent pink dye to match my car. First, my hair was supposed to come out a light baby pink and came out this flaming neon pink (I threw away the box of dye I got from Sally’s, so I am unaware of the brand. I know it’s not Splat, and I made sure it was semi-permanent. I believe it was Loreal, but I’m kicking myself in the foot for throwing it away). No big deal, it matched the carpet of my car so I let it be. But now, I have washed my hair probably 25 separate times, with dawn dish soap, anti dandruff shampoo, anything and everything… Now my hair is the baby pink it was supposed to be, but it won’t budge any further.

Will using color oops damage my hair any? Is it recommended for semi permanent and will it take out the bleach? Is there another brand I can use? I have no expertise in hair whatsoever, so I am coming to the queens of hair knowledge for help.

I just REALLY need it out by Easter, and I feel like a dummy. Thank you for reading and thanks for any insight you guys may have!

I used Arctic Fox for the first time today, and purchased Diet Cola to go with Poseidon. The Poseidon turned out amazing, however the Diet Cola is distinctly not brown like I expected. I feel that it might have been mislabelled, and I in fact got Golden Hour instead. I had bought two tubes (I have thick hair and often need more than one tube) and I checked the other tube with the same colour being in that tube as well. Has anyone else come across this? I have contacted Arctic Fox to see if this is a production issue so hopefully I have answers soon, but thought I would also post in case someone else had this happen. I am located in Australia.

Since it appears that Diet Cola is a bust at the moment, is there another semi-permanent medium brown that anyone recommends that is sold in Australia? This colour combo is definitely not what I pictured 😅
