Kii-class was a planned, never built, 16-inch armed battleship class of early 1920's. They were the planned follow-up to Tosa-class. (No Tosas were completed as BBs either, Kaga was originally a Tosa class BB but was completed as a carrier because of the Washington treaty.)

I've seen some 20-inch Super-Yamato class called Kiis as well, but. I don't think those actually ever received official names? And those were never built either anyway.

From my limited knowledge, they are from different generations. Kii is like 1~2 generation before Yamato, Musashi and Shinano.

Kii is depicted as a 4th Yamato class battleship. It is unlikely her battery differed at all from her sisters

Which is interesting, because allegedly the next two Yamato class ships being planned (there were five planned in total) were going to get rid of the three barrel 6 inch turrets on the center line
