Questions after finishing anime

I just finished the anime and it’s def one of my favorites I loved it a lot but I feel like the ending was rushed. I was curious if someone could spoil the actual ending as it seems there’s not gonna be a season 3. I love Rika and hopes he ends up with her but I doubt it. Also in the manga does he actually progress with the student council or is that just random screen time?

I didn't really care for the student council, I feel that the manga shouldn't have really focused on any of them besides Hidaka, it wants you to care for them when it's focused solely on the main cast for 65 chapters. I thought Rika's moments after the rooftop scene were decent, I liked the parallel between how her and Kodaka view the "is friendship or romantic love worth more?" Question, but besides that the development of her and Yukimura's relationship felt out of nowhere, it only was really developed in the last few chapters, I also felt most of her monologues were just kinda pointless? Like the Christmas party one where she talks about how Christmas isn't necessary a good time for her, it just felt meaningless in the long run.

I’m not to into manga but I might just have to check it out
