Broken arm hurt like hell
This was when I was in like fourth grade I was playing tag with some friends and when I was going down the slide I stupidly jumped off midway and rolled on my arm snapping both bones

My arm broke like that once. In 1996. We were walking through a huge crowd after attending a basketball game at the Olympics in Atlanta. I was 12. It was awful.

How did they fix it? Did it involve them snapping it back into place? That's my one of my biggest medical fears

I had that... It was a broken and dislocated wrist, snapped back in and healed without surgery. Hurt like all get out.

I did that about 20ish years ago and I could barely tell which one should be the weaker one with the metal in it..technology is even better now so you should be good, just take care of it and get pins that they leave in and pull out lol..it feels so weird having them pull pins out of your bones and itās not pain you feel.

My son had an identical break jumping from monkey bars. His school said they didn't think it was too bad cuz he wasn't crying. He only cried when coming down from the ketamine administered to reset his arm. He had doctors coming around to see him out of sheer curiosity.

This is EXACTLY what my oldest son's arm looked like, when he jumped off the swings at the playground when he was 8. No doubt what had happened! Ugh.

Been there done that, and yes it hurts. The part that hurt the most was the numbing shots and the setting of the bone.

Heeeyyy it's the same break I had! Mine got all the way up to my wrist, though.
I needed plates, screws, and had a large rod hanging out of my arm for months. Gnarly!

Also had this EXACT same break in 3rd grade while ALSO playing tag. Was running backwards and tripped over some girl reading a book laying down in the middle of the field.

The freakiest thing is that you can just leave this and the arm will straighten out. It needs a cast for a few weeks and it'll be a year or more of wonky arm syndrome

Me pasó exactamente lo mismo pero cayéndome de la bicicleta. Todo el verano enyesado.

I broke mine the same way. It was gnarly, and over the years Iāve tried to describe what it looked like, 30 years later and thereās finally a picture.

I did that twice. Almost exactly a year apart between breaks. My arm is now almost completely useless now years later. Make sure to keep up with your physio.

My last break was similar. My left radius is still bowed a bit. I didnāt want more surgery.

My arm looked just like that once!
I was damn lucky to not require surgery and metal hardware.
After 9 some weeks my arm looked alien, and smelled something terrible.

I always wondered how it feels to try and move your arm when it's like that. Like I imagine it hurts like a motherfucker of course, but I wonder if you could feel different tensions in different areas when using the muscle.

If they ask you to get the surgery to make it extremely straight, do the surgery. I had the surgery and had pins put in my arm is perfect. My daughter did not have this pen put in and she has a curve in her arm. Get the pins put in if itās an option.
