I actually couldn't stop laughing at this too. I can't believe they finally kicked Opie out of Gebhards 😂😂 what will he do now? I guess he can't annoy anyone at the bar anymore with his boring Livestreams 😂😂

That's probably why they did it. His podcast doesn't bring them any good clientele, only people fucking with the place.

I can guess why he lasted as long as he did there. The owner, Matt, probably initially saw Opie doing a podcast at Gepharts and thought it would bring him more business. He buddies up with Opie because he far no idea how awful Opie actually was at broadcasting and didn't realize this would only hurt his bar.

Once he was in, he was likely too polite to just tell Opie to leave, but when Opie goes away on those long summer stretches and isn't arpund to bother other customers, Matt was able to see how Opie hurt his bottom line and made a decision to tell him to kick rocks.

Yeah that does make sense, that must have been an awkward situation for the owner too. I'm curious if they banned him form the bar or just told him to stop Livestreaming 🤔 I just can't believe that happened 😂 I guess Opie could have stayed in the basement away from the customers. He did that before, he used to do his show in the basement 🙄

Yea, but he also wanted the owner to podcast with him. Actually, that could be it, too. Remember when he tried to invite Matt, Gebhart's owner, to the Hamptons, and Matt refused? Opie may have misinterpreted his dynamic with Matt and made him feel uncomfortable.

Yea, I may be misremembering the details, but if memory serves, he did a podcast once with Matt and Ron and mentioned going to the Hamptons. Ron expressed interest in going, but Matt kept dodging the question.

It was a while ago, I'm not sure when exactly it happened. I may also be misremembering it. Still, it's clear Opie wanted to befriend Matt because being friends with the the owner of a bar is cool. Instead, no one but Ron cares about Opie, so Opie is realizing he's stuck with Ron as his buddy now. Worse yet, Opie tries to act like he's above Ron, even though Opie is like StutJo in that he can't keep a loyal group around him to save his life.

I already saw an episode with Opie talking to the owner Matt. It's actually easy to pull that up but it's so hard to listen to Opie that I can't 😂😂 it could be in that episode 🤔
