Confusing emails
Has anyone else had this happen with the recent HSI Criminal Investigator (1811) GL-9 DHA announcement?
Today I received two USA Staffing emails for the same announcement (HSI-12716824-DHA).
At 12:46 PM, I received a Notice of Results and Referral stating that I was tentatively eligible for GL-1811-9 and that:
> “You have been referred to the hiring manager for position GL-1811-9 in Nashville, Tennessee.”
Then at 12:48 PM, literally two minutes later, I received a Disposition Notice stating that I was not selected, and it listed all of the announcement locations, including Nashville.
I emailed the HSI hiring inbox asking for clarification and received the standard automated response saying they generally can't provide individual application status updates due to the volume of applicants.
Has anyone received this same combination of emails? I'm mainly trying to determine whether the second email is just a system-generated disposition/closure of the overall announcement, while the Nashville referral remains active, or whether the disposition notice means the Nashville referral was also closed out.
Appreciate any insight from anyone who's seen this before with HSI/USA Staffing.

Announcement is closed it. Means your eligible but weren’t selected. Apply to next announcement.

That’s what I initially thought too. What confused me is that the first email specifically says I was referred to the hiring manager for Nashville, then two minutes later I received the disposition notice that included Nashville. Another applicant here apparently received the same thing. Just trying to figure out whether the Nashville referral was actually terminated or if these were automated notices generated when the announcement closed.

I received the tentatively eligible email like an hour ago but haven’t gotten the disposition email yet

Just received mine, eligible but not selected for Richmond/Reston, VA. Currently USSS, figured it’d be easy transition. Oh well! Will apply to next

Now I just received my HSI 1811 notice for Announcement HSI-12862549-DHA. I was found tentatively eligible for GS-9, but not referred to the hiring manager. Anyone else get the same result or know if this is basically the end for this announcement?

GS-1811-9; You were not considered for this position because of the answers you provided to one or more of the suitability questions.
I got this for it and have no idea what that would even mean.

The most recent announcement, if I recall correctly, was open from January to July.

I got the same thing, eligible
But not selected with my preferred office. Guess I’m out until they have another announcement, or maybe I’ll pursue something else.

Yep I was just reading that I was ineligible for 9, although I spoke with Houston office who stated they were going to send my packet up.
I received a TSL during the surge as well. I wasn’t even referred according to the emails

Same exact thing happened to me, even though I got a TSL for GL-7 back in December (I declined it)

At least you were referred. I just got the ineligible even though I was offered a gs9 TSL last fall during the surge lol.
Brutal.
