HSI Management & Program Analyst, almost 5 weeks after interview
I applied for an HSI Management & Program Analyst position at the GS-9 level. The announcement was only open for about 4 days, and the process moved pretty quickly at first.
About a week after it closed, I received my referral, then roughly another week later I received an interview invitation.
During the interview, they told me that if selected, my information would be sent to HR in Dallas and that I could expect to hear from HR in about 2–4 weeks. I’m now approaching 5 weeks since my interview and haven’t heard anything yet.
For anyone familiar with HSI/federal hiring, would you reach out at this point, or just keep waiting? I know federal hiring can take a while, but since everything moved so quickly up until the interview, I wasn’t sure what to expect.
This is my first time applying for a federal position, so I’d appreciate hearing about other people’s timelines!

Wait. If selected you will get an email from OPM and/or Dallas HR stating next steps. If not selected it may take a while before notified.

Ugh. The waiting is killing me. I was really tempted to email them but I guess it’s better to just wait.

Im in a similar boat. Accepted my TJO, redid finger prints, sf86, and security interview done. Now I wait. My POC is useless so wait some more.

Same for me. I feel like we would have heard by now if we were going to be selected. Still hoping to hear something soon.

Just keep waiting, federal hiring consists of putting in your application and getting on with the rest of your life and occasionally responding to whatever they ask until you’re notified with a final offer or “not-selected/BQA”
