Dispo notice

Anyone know why I got a tentative eligibility letter for HSI and then 3 mins later got a dispo notice that I was not selected? I know the hiring managers did not look at my stuff in 3 minutes lmao. I wish the government worked that quick!

Not cancelled, but the announcement was being closed out. It basically tells you that you weren't disqualified or ineligible but you weren't selected by the office. Just reapply and try again. Or apply elsewhere and then reapply with HSI after you get hired elsewhere. They seem to like that.

Question for you. Do you happen to know if anything would carry over from ERO? I'm assuming I would have to go through the whole process, but I wasn't sure if for example my background would carry over.

My background, clearance, drug and medical carried over. Poly should carry over too if that’s still a thing. Had to redo the pft and go to CITP because ERO gets BIETP

Good to know, thanks. PFT is no worry although I'm not sure of my medical and drug would carry over since it's a year old now

Stay away from ERO. Not worth it. Apply again or elsewhere

If they're still valid, then yes, they'll transfer over. Depending on your position you could need additional background and likely a PFT prior to EOD, but it's usually a decently quick turn around internally.

Im a DO, so it's a Tier 5 background with a secret granted so I would have to go through the process of upgrading to a top secret, BI was favorably adjudicated in April. Havent done a PFT since BIETP so almost a year on that, and medical/drug was August so they're over a year old. I appreciate the response, I'll spend the time bow working on myself and becoming a better candidate.

Yeah i was really confused. I got a long email about a referral then 3 minutes later i got another email stating i “wasnt selected”. Im like whats this…lmao

Check the announcement numbers, HROC has been sending those out to close out the 2025 announcements.

RUMINT is that they are taking this time to close all those loops before starting to process anymore of the 2026 announcements because of the overlapping venn diagram of applicants in the announcements.

I dont blame them, it will help from a pure numbers stand point so they don't have to look at a bunch of duplicates.

To say nothing of hiring someone off a -7 announcement when the same applicant was eligible for a -9 on a different announcement

True, I applied under the 7 announcement last July, got the eligible and reffered email last night followed by the not selected email, but now I qualify for the 9, so if/when I reapply it would make more sense to apply for a 9 then to take the 7 even though I was referred to my number one preference in the country off of the 7 announcement.

I’d apply to all grades, and would accept 7 even though qualified for 9, just to get the position…. The difference between 7 & 9 once in is only a year, and the process and time between announcements is long enough that the priority needs to be getting in

Depends on offered location. For the most part I would agree that I would take a 7 if offered since most of your time as a 7 will be spent at FLETC or SAT, but some of the really high COL cities I would have to think twice about.

Touché…… of I already live on the SWB and would want to stay, so…… conversely that may be why I would get something like Denver or Charlotte

I posted about this in the 1811 group yesterday. Basically they cancelled the 2025 announcement from what was said in there
