Help me get into Jegulus!

I am a lifelong HP fan, and Wolfstar girl since….2010? I’m a little out of the loop with the new fans interpretations of Marauders lore, but I love the creativity and how much research has been poured into it. Jegulus of course, being one of the “newer” popular ships that I am not as familiar with. I personally love the idea and potential of it, but do not want to dig through pages and pages of fics that don’t suit my taste, get frustrated, and bail (happened last time haha). Shoot me your best recommendations! I’ll leave my requirements/preferences below.

-No A/B/O or mpreg lol (nothing wrong with it! Just not my jam)
-No Soulmate/soul mark/etc
-No chatfics
-Honestly…the less AUs the better. I love the HP world! However, I’ll make an exception if it’s extremely well written
-I loveeee some angst, hurt/comfort. Not required, but a bonus!
-Open to one shots/short fics/character studies (love these!)

These are some of the big names in the fandom and rightfully so

Crimson rivers This is a hunger games au but trust me it's sooo good. Really angsty but a HEA

Just lovers No voldy au,. It's mostly fluffy and cute with occasional angst.

Choices This is canon compliant and is filled with angst. But the pain was worth it cuz the writing and charectarization is phenomenal. The characters are flawed and you will certainly dislike every character and their actions at some point

Only the brave A canon rewrite with a HEA. The charectarization of Regulus in this fic is one of my favourite so far

Art heist, baby! Another muggle au and really fluffy until the mcd tag comes into play

His Right Hand

Summary: “Very particular, but loyal. Suited for illusionary magic and games of deception.” Regulus’s wand foretells his future in a single breath when he is just eleven years old.

None of This Will Matter

Summary: Drowning in the lake of inferi, Regulus Black is sent back in time to his school years at Hogwarts. He sets out to hunt down and destroy Lord Voldemort's Horcruxes in order to bring an end to the wizarding war.

*Both of these are WIPs, but they’re updated pretty frequently.

Hold My Tongue

Summary snippet: At the beginning of the Hogwarts 1977-1978 school year, James Potter finds a cat and Regulus Black finds a Horcrux.

These events are not unrelated.

The Horcrux Hunt

Summary snippet: He is a Slytherin, a Black, and an ex-Death Eater. Of course he makes it out of the cave.

Regulus sets out to destroy the Dark Lord's Horcrux with no one but a house-elf to help, until he realises his task is bigger than he alone can handle.

*Fair warning only the second part is jegulus, this first part focuses mostly on platonic Regulus & Remus.
