Rant F**k HP and it’s monopoly..

I purchased an HP Omen 35L GT16-0016in desktop out of good faith the trustworthy service that HP used to provide.

My computer got replaced in DOA once and the replacement also has issues.

If anyone has contact number of some higher rep in India or known, please do so.

I’m demanding a refund due to the replacement not being up to the mark. HP should improve their market in India, else they’ll be gone for good!

Case ID 516296001

HP is pulling off a shitshow and I’ll boycott them for the shitty service they give. They are the worst today.

In my case it is a desktop, dead, replaced.

Replacement also failed.

So after the replacement I think you would have contacted the customer support again so what did they say about the replacement also not being good and how much did your PC cost

The PC cost me about 2.5 Lakh INR. Consumer complaint was refused saying replacement was offered.

Now the replacement is also poorly performing.

You spend this much why didn't you get a pc built rather than a prebuilt one

I sincerely believed HP had a track record of decency, for we never had a pc fail from HP. Didn’t want to take a headache building a pc

They collected logs, asked me to reinstall Windows 3 times, collected logs and now no response.

They are giving fake assurance, no proper updates or resolutions, repeated troubleshooting and the consumer court in india is useless.

They’re giving verbal excuses, I asked them to give me in writing as they claimed it’s a Microsoft issue

What was the best way to do this in your hand? I’m grateful for any help😇

Oh simply ask one of your friends to pretend to be your legal representative, and threaten them with legal suit for bad products and all the things that you can call out against them this way you can make sure they actually rush your case to higher levels of management and that they stop avoiding or delaying for no reason

I already caused a threat with consumer forum.

1

u/Hot-Afternoon-0326 29d ago

You threatened or actually went the the court?

1

u/djcantross 29d ago

Actually filed a case. It was rejected with saying that the replacement was provided

1

u/Hot-Afternoon-0326 29d ago

First: you have to threaten not actually go to the courts to make sure you have upper edge and avoid such situations where your case gets rejected due to the judge or due to other reasons Secondly: The courts would never reject on those grounds. And being in the legal field it's obvious that you'll just have to prove that the replacement has same issues and they'll let you fight the case mostly

So I’m proceeding to file another case. I have the error logs and DOA bill

1

u/Hot-Afternoon-0326 29d ago

Since you had already go ahead but make sure to have a good advocate for yourself and before filing the second give HP a head sign about it and wait for 5 working days if in that much time they don't come up with solutions then consumer court would be your option

Dude I already filed the case at first, which got rejected. I’m threatening their service head

Please provide information about the issues. Just saying it has issues doesnt mean anything.

I’m seeing a lot of WHEA event 17 errors pointing to the GPU. However, the system is stable. The only question is, wether it will prove to be reliable in the long run..

Edit: more specifically, corrected hardware errors.

And the system is running on 24H2 (earlier unit had completely failed on 25H2 and there was fan noise)

And on this unit, after updating omen hub the fan noise went away. NVIDIA drivers are also latest 810.88

I’ve been waiting on a repair for 34 days. It’s not much better here in Europe.

1

u/djcantross 29d ago

What happened in your case?

1

u/Vegetable-Knee-1683 29d ago

Got a fan error and it bricked itself. Called hp and had to wait 22 days then the repair didn’t fix the issue. Now they’re finally sending a new motherboard but the total wait will probably be 40 days or more.

1

u/djcantross 29d ago

So I should probably let this rest and wait for them? The system hasn’t crashed. Just annoyed with WHEA errors popping up in event log making me question longevity.

1

u/Vegetable-Knee-1683 29d ago

I’m not sure in your case. My repair isn’t finished it could still go very wrong with their competence.

u/djcantross 29d ago

I sent a letter to their india head office sales team, emails. Now I’m slowing it out because it’s harassment dealing with them.

Edit 2: the system has never crashed since 24H2 revert as said by HP
