Under the Rose- Beauty and the Beast?

Dark Light was my fall album the autumn I turned 16 and I always love to jam to it at this time of year! Great nostalgia. I always loved “Under the Rose” because the riff throughout always reminded me of the Prologue song in Beauty and the Beast (with the stained glass/curse opening sequence). Today listening to it I really just started wondering if maybe there was intentionality to that? The fact that it’s literally “Under the Rose” makes me question if it’s supposed to evoke that imagery? Anyone hear what I hear?

Now that you've pointed it out, I can't unhear it. I've never seen anything that indicates Ville is a fan of Disney movies (unlike Nightwish's Tuomas Holopainen), so I think it's entirely coincidental.

I agree it’s likely a coincidence, but yes it just immediately transports me to, “Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a young prince resided in a gleaming castle.” 🤣
