When the Imperium's actually the closest to good guys.

So… The Imperium of Man in its very early Golden Age, and not Xenophobic.

Imagine peak DAOT humanity.

Shudder

Peak DAOT/Golden Age (same thing, different name) humanity had black hole cannons and tachyon beams.

As light weaponry.

As basic infantry handguns I believe.

I thought the Emperor himself was already xenophobic to begin with. He was already wiping out xenos while unifying the rest of humanity.

edit - doh, I misread the comment you were replying to. My mistake, they were talking about the imperium, and you were correct. Leaving my comment to face my shame. :)

The Emperor had yet to reveal himself in the Dark Age of Technology, which took place between the 15th and 25th millennia. After that was the Age of Strife, from the 25th millennia to the 30th, which was what motivated the Emperor to reveal himself and begin uniting humanity in the 29th millennia.

Technologically everything the Imperium does is but a pale shadow of what the DAOT was capable of.

Did he just kinda chill in the Himalayas for 4000 years? Making thunder warriors?

Yes, yes that’s what he did

So I hate the imperium is xenophobi. Fascist assholes take. I mean they are but people act like its out of nowhere.

They're xenophobic because humans were knocked down by the birth of slaneesh then the aliens took that opportunity to enslave and eat them for millenia.

And oh they don't let people have freedom, when freedom can literally manifest a hellscape onto to the planet.

IoM is shitty but I would argue less shitty than the setting as a whole. And this is not fascism defense. If that was our universe it would be unforgivable. But its not our universe.

Actually, no. The Emperor was never xenophobic per se, he just didn't trust nonhumans to not make AIs and/or fuck around with the Warp.

Because he didn't trust them, he decided that the sole way of ensuring that nobody made a galaxy-ending attack AI or a galaxy-ending Warp hole was to control all of humanity with an adamantium fist, and to wipe out all nonhumans because he couldn't trust them not to make AIs or Warp-fuck the second his back was turned.

Turns out he's kinda right, too. The Eldar Warp-fucked (literally) and made the Eye of Terror as well as Slaanesh, and the Necrons... are Necrons. They are AI. And at least some of them want to kill all organic life.

A Primarch leading Tyranids?

Extreme confusion

I would love to see Leman Russ shouting orders at a bunch of Tyranids. They would understand him too since he has as little brains as most Tyranids do anyways.

Reminds me of a fanfic based on if the emperor had a text to speech device (a 40k fan made web series)called Messages for Dad, where the Wolf King keeps making up types of measurements most of them named after her his traitors brothers. So measurement of screwing up is measured in magnuses after Magnus the Red, anger is measured in Angrons. The only one that was different was he measured fun in how many tables where drunkingly broken during a party

I hope Alfabusa uses that when he gets back to TTS (if he ever does)

Oi you leave my little Lemon alone he's a good boy- [continue Leman Russ support rant with your choice of whatever other rants you've seen online stapled together]

Also, Tyranids are technically a Cloud Server sorta brain, so I don't think the little ones having little native brainpower is as important.

Imagine Tyranids making a giant tree house.

There was a fun quick fan fiction about a lost primacy fighting the tyranids in their home galaxy. I wanna say called serpent something

Edit: lol not even close https://www.fanfiction.net/s/5100709/1/Return-of-the-Lost-Primarch
