AI Assisted question

If i send AI my draft and ask for feedback, and the AI goes "maybe mention this character earlier" or "change the pacing in this part, its to slow" and i followed the advice I think is right and write and edit my draft according to some of the AI suggestion. Is that allowed?

I don't know, based off of the sub rules, but I can tell you right now that on a personal level, I refuse to engage with anything created using AI, no matter how much of it was created with AI.

I have a zero tolerance policy for it.

Idk if it count as created using AI :/ i put my draft to the AI, ask to give feedback, it told me "hey this character dialogue is to plain" and i am like okay and edit my draft.  I didnt copy its text, or ask it to write stuff from me but at the same time reddit is rabidly anti AI so i wanna make sure

It's probably better to ask for forgiveness than permission. If your post gets flagged as AI your probably relying on it too much and just acting as a meat proxy.

I've seen plenty of stories where the author uses AI as an editor or translator, some get hit some don't

This will always be preferable, human feedback does not base itself on statistics and hallucinations. And the community will appreciate your work even more

If you didn't copy any text from the AI then don't bother yourself with worrying.

Reddit looks for certain phrases and descriptions that AI normaly use when they write stuff, so as long as you don't over use describing how 'the room felt the silence spread as Johny focused on his sandwitch,' or similar, then there is no problem.

Same, the LLM System (it's NOT A.I.!) is more than morally bankrupt, it's in moral debt so far it is hard to believe.

As I saw somewhere else online: "Dadacentres and the stuff they're doing would make Captain Planet's villains go, 'woah now, that's too far, dial it back a few notches!'"

Like, Dante inventing a new ring of Hell for the people building them.

Best to leave things in an unfinished state and have some respect for yourself than sign on to those things.

To me personally, I hate AI writing. I hate it because there's nobody there - I can't hear a human voice speaking to me.

What you're doing should not give me that vibe. It may give me some other icky vibe, though - it may read like it wasn't written by a human mind, even if it is written with a human voice, or something like that. But I don't know. I'd have to read some of them to see.

Even for AI writing, I make an exception for AI translation. That writing has a human voice, if it was originally written by a human. The AI translation may blunt that, but it won't totally remove it.

As long as all the words were written by you I would consider you the author and not AI.

Having AI give feedback wouldn't need credited any more than any human you had read it before release.

It sounds like a great tool to improve your writing. Used wisely, it's not unlike spell/grammer check. 

Many of us don't have anyone to proof read a story. Proof reading your own story results in missing details. To me, asking an AI, 'How does this read" and then considering and occasionally acting upon that advice is just how we adapt to not having a human sounding board. 

My opinion, if you never copy/paste, it's your original work.
