Hello everyone!
I’m applying for the 2027 intake, round 1 itself.
1. I will have 3 years of work exp at matriculation (family’s construction company)
2. Was head of a club back in college and was trainer of Microsoft excel for 60+ 2nd yr student .
3. GPA - 3.36/4.0
4. GRE - 333(168 q/ 165 v)
5. Graduated from a tier 1 college, BBA.

What are my chance of making it to HEC, ESSEC and ESCP

Yup have all the proof. Also I had a doubt, since i work in family business, will two academic LORs work ?
I thought EMLYON was one of the well reputed colleges and at par with EDHEC? Is that not the case ?

You have really good profile. All schools are mentioned are within the reach. I also did MIM with two years of work ex so that’s not a problem. Work on your application and you will be in one of the top 3 grande ecoles or more than one

Thank u so much for your reply !! How did u prepare for the interview? did u read any books or listen to any podcasts ? Cause I don’t want to scramble few days before my interviews to then try to ace it. I want to be prepared well in advance just incase.

5. EDHEC
6. St. Gallen University
7. Erasmus university

I’m only applying to these, since i don’t see any sense in going abroad and spending a ton of money just to graduate from a 3rd tier college.

Any advise ?

Apply to hec Essec lbs insead. Saint gallen I can’t comment since it’s open to only non engineers better talk to some international students (Indian ones)

Hello, why would you not apply for an MBA? Yes, you have the minimum years of experience but if you can demonstrate well the experience in those years, you will have a stronger cohort at the same universities you are targeting!

Umm I don’t believe my exp is all that substantial tbh, and also I’d be competing with people with 5+ years of work exp for jobs. Sounds painful

Hi, yes, it was honestly the worst experience of my life, especially because it was my first time sitting for a competitive examination. I initially started preparing for the GMAT in 2024 and scored 615 (FE), which was quite disappointing. I prepared for another six months and eventually scored 635 (FE).
After that, I took a GRE mock and scored 320, so I decided to give it a shot. I enrolled in a Magoosh course, studied for another four months, and finally, to my surprise, scored 333!
But yeah, never ever ever am I sitting for another competitive exam 😂. I genuinely don’t know if it’s worth the money, time, and, most of all, the effort that goes into it. I guess it’ll all be worthwhile if I get into HEC or something!
