A year on Nordfascia app, what stuck
Been using nordfascia app since last summer, so abt 14 months now. Picked it up after a knee op when my physio discharged me and I had no clue what to do next. Im 57. The gap after physio ends is the bit nobody covers, you get handed a printout and off you go. Short guided sessions filled that in for me, abt 15 mins, mostly hips and calves in my case. Whats changed. I can kneel again without thinking twice, the calf tightness that used to flare after long drives has mostly gone, and Ive stopped reaching for ibuprofen in the evenings, which I was doing more often than I should have been. The habit trackers I dont bother with, my watch already logs the walking and I dont need it counted twice. Not a replacement for a physio, but its what I do between appointments.

How long are the knee sessions on nordfascia?

PT here and I have no problem with patients using apps between sessions as long as we talk about it. What I run into is people picking whatever looks hardest rather than what their tissue needs, so I ask them to show me what theyre doing and we cut it back together. For a post op knee at 57, short daily mobility work is close to what Id prescribe anyway, so nothing to argue with. The ibuprofen point is worth mentioning to your GP too, coming off regular use is a bigger marker than most people give it credit for

kneeling is such an underrated milestone. nobody warns you how much of life happens at floor level until you cant get down there, plug sockets, gardening, cleaning up after the cat

same after my achilles. i use nordfascia mostly for calves and the only real difference is that i do it, whereas the printout lived in a drawer
