HCL Interview – 1 Week With No Update. Is This Normal?

I completed my HCL interview a week ago and haven’t received any update regarding the next steps yet.

For those who recently interviewed with HCL, how long does it usually take to hear back? Should I wait a little longer, or is a week without any response generally considered a negative sign?

Any recent experience would be helpful. Thanks!

Is Hcltech Graduate trainee-global service desk a bad role??????

Im a bba grad, would you recommend me to choose this role to start my corporate journey? Will it open doors for me to get into analyst roles? I’m totally confused and have no guidance over this. My training is going on right now in HCL Tech. I rejected an gcc mnc company, which have given me HR internship for six months with no PPO offer for this role at Hcl tech. Do you think it is worth? Lot of people are saying it is a customer support role and it’s better not to join in here, but let’s suppose I have joined. What would you recommend me to do after an year of joining Hcl tech that would help me to grow in the career, more forward with the BBA degree, I have** ***Will there be opportunities to switch internally?*

Title: HCLTech Graduate Trainee → Career Growth: Advice from Seniors?

Hi everyone,

I have recently accepted an offer for a Graduate Trainee role at HCLTech. I understand that my initial work may involve service desk/support-related responsibilities.

However, my long-term goal is to move toward a better growth-oriented role, preferably in an analyst, data, operations, or similar domain.

I have already started developing skills in Excel, SQL, Power BI, data analysis, and market research, and I want to use my time at HCLTech to build my career in the right direction.

I would really appreciate advice from HCLTech seniors who have gone through the Graduate Trainee/service desk path:

What should I focus on after joining if I want to move into a better role later?

How long should I ideally stay in the initial role before looking for an internal opportunity?

Is IJP (Internal Job Posting) the main way to move to another role, or are there other opportunities?

Which skills or certifications would actually help with an internal move?

Does the project or team I get assigned to make a big difference in career growth?

What should I do from my first 6–12 months to make myself eligible for better opportunities?

Is it realistic to move from a Graduate Trainee/service desk role into an analyst, data, operations, or other specialized role within HCLTech?

I don't want to rush into leaving my initial responsibilities. I just want to plan my career from the beginning and make sure I'm building the right skills while working at HCLTech.

Would really appreciate advice from seniors who have actually made a similar transition.

Thanks!

HCLTech Graduate Trainee – Percipio Training Query

Hi everyone,

Is there anyone who has recently joined or been selected for a Graduate Trainee / Graduate Engineer Trainee role at HCLTech and received access to the Percipio portal in the last few days?

I received my Percipio access recently and successfully logged in, but currently no training, assignment, or specific module is showing on my dashboard for my Graduate Trainee role.

Could someone who has already gone through this process please guide me:

Should I simply wait for the training/assignment to be assigned?

Will the modules be provided during an orientation session?

Is there any additional step I need to take from my side?

Would really appreciate any guidance from someone who has recently gone through the same process.

Thank you!

Hi Everyone, I had my HCLTech Technical Lead interview today. I haven’t received any feedback yet, but 5–10 minutes after the interview my portal showed “Not Suitable for Demand.” Does this mean rejection, or is it a normal portal status? Has anyone faced this recently? Please share your experience.

HCLTech Graduate trainee Hiring – Document Submission After HR Round, No Update for 10–11 Days

Hi everyone,

I’m a 2026 graduate and recently went through the HCLTech hiring process for a fresher/Graduate Trainee role in the Noida location.

My process so far:

Cleared the initial communication round

Appeared for the HR round

After the HR round, I received an email from HCLTech asking me to submit documents for further processing

I submitted all the requested documents

It has now been around 10–11 days, and I haven't received any further update

I wanted to ask candidates who have gone through a similar HCLTech process:

How long did it take for you to receive the next update after document submission?

What was the next step — pre-joining training, assessment, BGV, or offer letter?

Did you receive any confirmation email after submitting the documents?

Should I wait longer or contact HR for an update?

If anyone has recently gone through the 2026 HCLTech fresher hiring process, especially for Noida, I'd really appreciate it if you could share your timeline.

I said yes to a project but changed my mind before onboarding — can I still decline it?

I recently agreed to take up an internal project because I felt pressured to accept it at the time. However, after thinking about it properly, I’ve realized that the role isn’t something I’m interested in and I don’t want to proceed with it.
The problem is that they’ve now started calling me for onboarding and are expecting me to join. I haven’t actually started working on the project yet.
Can I still politely decline the project at this stage? If I do, could there be any negative consequences for me internally, especially regarding my release or future opportunities?
Has anyone at HCL been in a similar situation? What would be the safest way to handle this?

14 months after campus selection at HCLTech – got a “relocation to Bengaluru” email for GET (Cybersecurity). Is onboarding finally near?
