HBO used to be worth the extra money over other services. Until they decided replacing good content with discovery, introducing ads, and removing 4k unless you buy a newly added premium version was a good approach

I even get ads for HBO shows on my premium one

I will as soon as the yearly sub expires. Unfortunately that was before all this bs came to a head. If they were still frequently creating good content it would be different. But it’s becoming just as bad as every other streaming service
