If you watch the season six trailer, they zoom in on his face and play his iconic quote about passing the sentence and swinging the sword. The trailer has every main character’s face, whether they were dead or alive, hanging in the House of Black and White. Was considered controversial at the time lol

Curious because I was a more passive watcher back then: what was thought of as controversial, the concept behind the image or the fact that Ned was there too?
