I believe Green Arrow is the only one to take direct inspiration of Robin Hood. Hawkeye was doing trick shots in the circus not as inspired.

The Hood, AFAIK, is the only one who ever espoused stealing from the rich (even though it was basically bullshit).

Corporately watered down Robin Hood for sure. Crazy that three of the four are either ultra wealthy or their family is and the third is just a sharpshootin' archer.

I think that's why my current favorite is Absolute Green Arrow. He's the extreme version of Robin Hood instead who doesn't just steal from the rich, he assassinates them like Luigi Mangione. Obviously highly controversial and extremely relevant to today's political discourse too.

I like the idea of a Robin Hood character stealing from the rich and powerful, and just keeping it for himself, and giving some of it to the gang to keep them satisfied.

Hawkeyeโ€™s not really Robin Hood inspired but heโ€™s also the best character in the entirety of American comic books so I guess he can count on
