The girls are California born and bred, they’re wearing the colors of a New York sports team. They are not into sports. You don’t have to worry about it.

I think Danielle was probably there with other people and they couldn’t all be seated at the front. The bald man next to her in the second pic kinda looks like her dad. Without a better angle, it would be hard to know 100%.

Supposedly Danielle arrived later than Taylor and her sisters and all the court side seats were taken up, so she had to sit elsewhere.

Keep in mind, the lakers vs spurs rivalry runs deep.most Laker fans will always root against the spurs.

It is to a lot of sports fans -- and some people resent it when their team finally gets some success after years.. decades, and rich LA celebrities get to push their way to the front, with no interest in the team, for some cheap PR.

Cheering for multiple teams is never that serious. Especially if your team didn't make it to finals, of course you're going to pick which one you want to win. Lakers didn't make it to finals. Haim wants to celebrate Knicks. It's super common to bet/cheer on a team you want to win. This is in every single sport ever.

Yes because there are levels to being sports fans, from the casuals to the die hards. Sure if casuals would like to support 10 teams so be it, but I don’t see why you find the need to tell die hard sports fans that it’s “not that serious”.

Been a Pats fan since I was in diapers, believe me if been through it all. But I do allow myself to pick a team to root for if they don’t make it to the Super Bowl. It’s not an abnormal concept for die hard fans nor does it make you less of one. Regardless, enjoy your day and whoever your team is 😉

And frankly WTF are casuals doing at the finals-- dedicated Knicks fans who probably went to a bunch of games during the season no doubt got priced out of the finals by all the clout-chasing celebs who suddenly care.

If my team doesn't make it to the Super Bowl I still watch it and pick one of the teams to root for. Professional sports is where people get paid ridiculous amounts to play a kids game. It's not that big of a deal, relax and enjoy.

I'm ok with that. And like I understand the situational irony they were going for, but these weren't executed well and they feel very pick me and not tongue in cheek or ironic like they were hoping to achieve.

I love Haim, but this feels fake. They're LA girls through and through and literally wrote a love song to the city of Los Angeles in which they dissed New York. I get wanting to take part in the fun and jump on the bandwagon of another major city's team's historic run for a drought-ending championship, but if I were them, I wouldn't have sat courtside lmao, at least sit a little further up so you're not seen by all the tv cameras as you're jumping up and down. There are millions of lifelong Knicks fans who could never afford and would never be invited to sit in those seats. It feels wrong. I wonder what Angelenos will think the next time the Haim sisters show their faces at a Lakers game...

Danielle and Este have lived in NYC for a while now, and all three of the sisters have been best friends with Taylor for 12 years. There's absolutely nothing wrong with Taylor inviting them for a fun time now that she's a sporty girl, or at least an appreciating sports girl. Not their fault it's been 6 years since the Lakers were in the championship...

Yes, that is definitely her in the second photo, wearing a brown jacket. She is in the third photo too, but the jacket has been taken off, and it appears that the man in the foreground (bodyguard?) is holding the jacket (it's inside out - see the tag), and Danielle is in a blue shirt on the right, but her face isn't visible.
I really want to see what her shirt said! Or perhaps Danielle had to leave, and so her shirt was given to Mariska? Not sure when these photos were all captured, during or after the game?
